At number eight on on our year-end countdown of the tallest buildings underway in New York is 262 Fifth Avenue, a 1,000-foot-tall residential supertall in NoMad, Manhattan. Designed by Meganom with SLCE Architects as the executive architect and developed by Boris Kuzinez of Five Points Development under the Five Points 262 Project LLC, the 54-story skyscraper will yield 41 condominium units and 11,000 square feet of retail space on the first two floors. WSP is the structural and M.E.P. engineer and CM & Associates Construction Management is the general contractor for the property, which is located at the southwest corner of Fifth Avenue and West 29th Street.

The ninth-tallest building on our December countdown is 520 Fifth Avenue, a 995-foot-tall mixed-use supertall in Midtown, Manhattan. Designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox and developed by Rabina, which took over from Ceruzzi Properties and SMI USA in 2019, the 76-story structure will span 507,608 square feet and yield 98 residential units, commercial space, and four cellar levels. WSP is the structural engineer, DeSimone Consulting Engineers is the facade consultant, and Suffolk Construction is the general contractor for the property, which is located at the northwest corner of Fifth Avenue and West 43rd Street.

Leading off the top ten of our year-end countdown of the tallest buildings under construction in New York is Two Manhattan West, a 935-foot-tall commercial skyscraper in the Manhattan West master plan in Midtown West. Designed by Skidmore Owings & Merrill and developed by Brookfield, the 58-story structure rises directly south of its taller fraternal twin, One Manhattan West, and will yield 1.9 million square feet of office space. W&W Glass in the facade contractor and AECOM Tishman is the general contractor for the property, which is located at the northwest corner of West 31st Street and Ninth Avenue.

The 11th-tallest building on our December construction countdown is 343 Madison Avenue, a 49-story commercial skyscraper in Midtown East, Manhattan. Designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox and developed by Boston Properties, the 844-foot-tall structure will yield 750,400 square feet of office space, ground-floor retail, and multiple cellar levels. The steel-framed building will rise from a plot bound by East 45th Street to the north, East 44th Street to the south, and Madison Avenue to the west.

At number 12 on our year-end countdown of the tallest buildings under construction in New York is 27-48 Jackson Avenue, a 69-story residential skyscraper in Long Island City‘s Court Square district and the future tallest building in Queens. Designed by Perkins Eastman and developed by Building Orchard LLC, the 811-foot-tall structure will yield 635,000 square feet with 818 units, as well as 11,700 square feet of retail space and a two-story parking garage. Triton Construction Company is the general contractor for the property, which is alternately addressed as 43-01 Queens Street and located along Jackson Avenue between Queens and Orchard Streets.
