Vision: Arquitectonica’s Design for Building 1, at Extell’s Riverside Center

While both 1 and 21 West End Avenue are already under construction, the Riverside South master plan’s “Building 1,” on the corner of West 61st Street and Riverside Boulevard, does not yet have an announced design. YIMBY has now obtained images showing Arquitectonica’s submitted plans, which show two different versions, one of which features a dramatic sloped cantilever outwards towards the West Side Highway.

Revealed: 125 Borinquen Place, Williamsburg

In the fall of 2013, architect De-Jan Lu filed plans for a seven-story, 133-unit apartment building at 125 Borinquen Place in Williamsburg, only a block and a half from the BQE. Now YIMBY can reveal a slew of renderings for the development, which will fill a triangular lot at the corner of Borinquen, South 2nd and Rodney Streets.

Four-Story Building Headed to Crown Heights Community Garden at 115 Rogers Avenue

The volunteers behind Roger That Garden in Crown Heights have spent the last year and a half fighting to save their little plot at Rogers Avenue and Park Place from a developer, but it looks like the garden’s days are officially numbered. A new building application was filed today for a four-story residential building on the property at 115 Rogers Avenue, also known as 749 Park Place.

Six-Story Mixed-Use Project Tops Out at 79 Grand Street in Williamsburg

Brownstoner reports that the six-story, five-unit mixed-use building at 79 Grand Street in Williamsburg has topped-out. A retail component will measure nearly 1,590 square feet on the ground level, and Philip Toscano Architects is designing. The nearly 8,000 square-foot building is currently getting its façade, and completion is likely later this year.
