The affordable housing lottery has launched for 2892 Nostrand Avenue, a nine-story residential building in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn. Designed by Archimaera Architecture and developed by Igor Vaysman under Mike Rose Realty LLC, the structure yields 32 residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 20 units for residents at 40 to 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $42,343 to $227,500.

NYC DOT Completes Rehabilitation Of Ocean Avenue Pedestrian Bridge In Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn

The New York City Department of Transportation (NYC DOT) has completed rehabilitation work on the historic Ocean Avenue Pedestrian Bridge, which connects the Brooklyn neighborhoods of Sheepshead Bay and Manhattan Beach. Originally constructed in 1880 and rebuilt in 1930, the 400-foot wooden span runs across Sheepshead Bay from Emmons Avenue to Shore Boulevard. The NYC DOT carried out the project using in-house construction teams, with funding provided by the agency and former State Assemblymember Steven Cymbrowitz.

$400M Renovation Project At Nostrand Houses Moves Forward In Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn

The New York City Public Housing Preservation Trust has selected Community Modernization Group (CMG), a joint venture led by SLSCO LP, as the design-build team for a $400 million renovation of the Nostrand Houses, an affordable housing development located at 2241 Batchelder Street in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn. Approved by the Trust Board on July 8, the project will modernize 1,148 apartments across 16 buildings, benefiting the development’s 2,213 residents.
