Renderings have been revealed for the rooftop recreation terrace on top of Brooklyn Point, located at 138 Willoughby Street, in Downtown Brooklyn. Swimmers will be able to look over the East River to Downtown and Midtown Manhattan, and once complete, it will be the highest residential infinity pool in the Western Hemisphere. The tower rises up 720 feet, nearly a hundred feet higher than the Marina Bay Sands Hotel and its rooftop pool in Singapore. Matthews Nielsen Landscape Architects will be responsible for the site, which also includes a sundeck, outdoor dining area, changing room and showers, and outdoor movie screening space.
Renderings are out for an 11-story timber office building proposed for the Riverfront Square development in Newark, New Jersey. The site is located next to New Jersey Transit’s Broad Street station, which is less than a twenty-minute commute to Midtown Manhattan. The project is part of a larger 11.8-acre mixed-use development, as well as Riverfront Park, designed by James Corner Field Operations. Lotus Equity Group will be responsible for the development.
