540 Fulton Street’s Exterior Nears Completion in Downtown Brooklyn

Exterior work is nearing completion on 540 Fulton Street, a 511-foot-tall mixed-use skyscraper in Downtown Brooklyn. Designed by Marvel Architects and developed by Jenel Management, the 43-story, 330,000-square-foot building will yield 327 residential units, as well as 71,844 square feet of commercial space and 22,054 square feet of retail on the lower podium floors. Exterior work is continuing to progress on One Willoughby Square, a 36-story, 495-foot-tall office skyscraper in Downtown Brooklyn. Alternately addressed as 420 Albee Square, the project is designed by FXCollaborative and is being developed by JEMB Realty, and will yield 500,000 square feet of Class A office space. One Willoughby Square is set to open as the tallest new office building in Brooklyn and is bound by Albee Square West to the east, Willoughby Street to the north, and Duffield Street to the west. Gilbane Building Company is in charge of construction on the project.

Designed by Morris Adjmi Architects and developed by Hope Street Capital, the structure rises from a four-story podium bound by Atlantic Avenue to the south, Clinton Avenue to the east, and Vanderbilt Avenue to the west. The 280,000-square-foot development will yield 284 apartments and about 60,000 square feet of retail area.
