Olympia’s Façade Nears Completion at 30 Front Street in DUMBO, Brooklyn

Façade work is wrapping up on Olympia, a 33-story residential tower at 30 Front Street in DUMBO, Brooklyn. Designed by Hill West Architects and developed by Fortis Property Group, the 401-foot-tall sail-shaped structure will yield 76 condominium units in one- to five-plus-bedroom layouts with interiors by Workstead. Sales and marketing are being led by Fredrik Eklund and John Gomes of the Eklund Gomes Team at Douglas Elliman and Karen Heyman at Sotheby’s, and Urban Atelier Group is the general contractor for the property, which is bound by Front Street to the north, Washington Street to the east, and York Street to the south.

69 Adams Street Climbs Above Podium Levels in DUMBO, Brooklyn

Construction is rising on 69 Adams Street, a 26-story mixed-use building in DUMBO, Brooklyn. Designed by Fariba Makooi of Fischer + Makooi Architects and developed by The Rabsky Group, the 280-foot-tall structure will yield 258,200 square feet with 225 units ranging from studios to two-bedroom layouts as well as 102,078 square feet of ground-floor retail space with 60 feet of frontage, a 25-foot-long rear yard, and 61 parking spaces. Galaxy Developers is the general contractor for the property, which is bound by Front Street to the north, Adams Street to the west, York Street to the south, and the elevated Manhattan Bridge roadway to the immediate east.

58 Saint Marks Place Completes Construction in Boerum Hill, Brooklyn

Construction is complete on 58 Saint Marks Place, a 12-story residential building in Boerum Hill, Brooklyn. Designed by INC Architecture & Design with Issac & Stern as the architect of record and developed by Avdoo & Partners, the rectangular reinforced concrete structure yields 100 units in 45 unique floor plans. Homes range from studio through four-bedroom layouts. LIC Corporation served as the general contractor for the project, which spans nearly the full length of the block bound by Fourth Avenue to the east, St. Mark’s Place to the north, and Willie McDonald Way to the south.

St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church’s Exterior Nears Completion in Financial District, Manhattan

Work on the white marble and glass façade of the St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church is bringing the long-awaited project closer to completion in the Financial District. Designed by Santiago Calatrava and developed by The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, the reinforced concrete structure sits atop the eastern end of Liberty Park by the intersection of Greenwich and Liberty Streets. The ground floor rests on the elevated park space, which itself serves as the roof for the southern entrance and exit of the vehicle security center for the World Trade Center complex.

30 West 39th Street’s Exterior Progress Continues in Midtown, Manhattan

Work is continuing on 30 West 39th Street, a 27-story hotel tower in Midtown, Manhattan. Designed by Peter Poon Architects and developed by Fortuna Realty, the 323-foot-tall structure will yield 330 guest rooms spread across 133,500 square feet. Leeding Builders Group is the general contractor for the property, which is located between Fifth and Sixth Avenues, just one block south of Bryant Park.

Demolition, Excavation Continue for Extell’s Potential Supertall at 570 Fifth Avenue in Midtown, Manhattan

Demolition is progressing at 570 Fifth Avenue, the site of a potential supertall skyscraper in Midtown, Manhattan. Developed by Extell, the tower could reach an architectural height of 1,100 feet tall with 78 stories in a 1,462,174-square-foot mixed-use hotel and residential scheme. As an office tower, the building would stand 860 feet tall with 47 stories and 1,543,759 square feet. 46/47 Owner LLC is the owner and ALBA Services is the general contractor for the property, which is located at the corner of West 46th Street and Fifth Avenue.

Excavation Underway at 311-341 Bergen Street in Boerum Hill, Brooklyn

Excavation has begun at 311 Bergen Street, the site of a new residential project in Boerum Hill, Brooklyn. Designed by Avdoo Partners & Development and developed by Bergen Owner, LLC, work is proceeding on an assemblage of four plots at 336, 338, 340, and 341 Bergen Street, which were sold by R.A.L. Realty and Morlef Realty Corporation for $44 million. No architect, rendering, or floor count have been disclosed for the project, which could yield a maximum of 133,500 square feet based on the site’s zoning.

350 Butler Street’s Brick Façade Takes Shape in Park Slope, Brooklyn

Exterior work is shaping up on 350 Butler Street, an 11-story residential building in Park Slope, Brooklyn. Designed by Queens-based Robert Litchfield Architect and developed by The Brooklyn Home Company under the 346 Butler LLC, the 116-foot-tall building will yield 48,572 square feet and 31 homes. Titan Realty & Construction is the general contractor for the property, which is located between Fourth Avenue and Gregory Place.

2 Bryant Park’s Renovation Nears Completion in Midtown, Manhattan

Work is wrapping up on Two Bryant Park, a 15-story commercial building at 1100 Avenue of the Americas in Midtown, Manhattan. Designed by MdeAS Architects and developed by Brookfield Properties in [partnership with The Swig Company, the project involves the replacement of the dark mid-century façade with a modern glass curtain wall, renovation of the building’s 386,190 square feet of interiors, and a revamped public plaza. AECOM Tishman is the general contractor for the property, which is located on Sixth Avenue between West 42nd and 43rd Streets, directly across from Bryant Park.

141 Willoughby Street’s Curtain Wall Nears Completion in Downtown Brooklyn

Curtain wall installation is wrapping up on 141 Willoughby Street, a 24-story commercial building in Downtown Brooklyn. Designed by Fogarty Finger with SLCE as the executive architect and developed by Savanna Real Estate, the 400,000-square-foot structure will yield a mix of Class A offices and lower-level retail space, and is engineered to achieve LEED certification. Gilbane Building Company and Savcon are the general contractors, Thornton Tomasetti is the structural engineer, and AKF Group LLC is the MEP engineer of the property, which rises from a trapezoidal plot bound by Willoughby Street to the south, Gold Street to the west, and Flatbush Avenue Extension to the east.
