Rendering Revealed for 110 East 16th Street by Union Square, Manhattan

Development around Union Square has always been tightly monitored, which makes any newsfor the neighborhood all the more exciting. Today, YIMBY has an exclusive first look at new renderings for 110 East 16^th Street, a Morris Adjmi Architects-designed mixed-use building which hopes to rise 21 floors above ground. The City Landmark Preservation granted approval in January for the proposal, though the ULURP process is still underway. The current structure, a nine-story parking garage, may be one of the few in the area whose demolition won’t cause a stir.

Permits Filed for 1043 Halsey Street, Bushwick, Brooklyn

Permits have been filed for a four-story residential building at 1043 Halsey Street in Bushwick, Brooklyn. The site is two blocks away from the Halsey Street subway station, serviced by J and Z trains, and two stops from the Broadway Junction intersection with access to the A, C, and L trains. Ronald Chien is listed as responsible for the development.

Quay Tower Tops Out, Façade Installation Underway, Brooklyn Bridge Park

Across the harbor from Manhattan, Quay Tower has been quietly and steadily rising. The 28-story condominium project at the southern edges of Brooklyn Bridge Park has recently topped out, and the façade is now eight stories above street level. The official address will be 50 Bridge Park Drive in Brooklyn Heights. The building is being developed through a joint venture with RAL Companies, Oliver’s Realty Group, and Vanke US.

Permits Filed, Renderings Revealed for 2658, 2660 Kingsbridge Terrace, Fordham Manor, the Bronx

Permits have been filed for two eight-story community-facility buildings at 2658 and 2660 Kingsbridge Terrace in the Fordham Manor, the Bronx neighborhood. The development is linked with 2662 Kingsbridge Terrace, whose permits we covered in December 2017. The site is located eight blocks away from the Kingsbridge Road subway station, serviced by the 4 train. Ari Thaler is responsible for the development.

Details are not available for the precise location, but the most likely area is part of a parking lot near the Flushing Meadows train yard along Roosevelt Avenue. The United States Tennis Association is responsible for the development.

Permits have been filed for a six-story mixed-use building at 510 Driggs Avenue in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Renderings for the project were first teased in 2015 by ODA, but the filed permits reveal a change in design, with Woods Bagot responsible design.

Construction Making Headway at 805 Washington Avenue, Crown Heights, Brooklyn

Concrete has reached the third floor at 805 Washington Heights, a residential project rising in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. The building is now expected to become a nine-story residential, part of a revision to the permits made in April of this year. This comes after the permits reflected downsizing to six stories when we reported on it in October. Levi Balkany of Happy Living Development is responsible for the applications.
