Façade installation is nearing completion on The Cortland, a 26-story condominium building from Robert A. M. Stern Architects at 555 West 22nd Street in West Chelsea. Developed by Related Companies with SLCE Architects as the architect of record, the nearly 300-foot-tall structure will yield 141 units spread across 250,000 square feet, for an average of 2,245 square feet apiece. Construction is rising at 2330 Broadway, an 18-story senior living facility on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. Designed by SLCE Architects and developed by Welltower, Inc. and Hines, the 230-foot-tall building will yield 162 residences spread across 109,315 square feet, for an average unit scope of 674 square feet. Supportive programming will focus specifically on memory care, and half of the units will be reserved for residents with memory and cognitive disorders.

Excavation Progresses at 65 Franklin Street in Tribeca, Manhattan

Excavation is progressing at 65 Franklin Street, the site of a 19-story residential building in Tribeca. Designed by CetraRuddy Architecture, the 210-foot-tall structure will yield 41 homes and ground-floor retail space. The project is being developed by HAP Investment Developers, which secured $94 million in construction financing from G4 Capital Partners in the spring of 2019. The site is located at the corner of Broadway and Franklin Streets, and was formerly occupied by several low-rise structures. Noble Construction Group is the general contractor for the property.

Construction is rising on 192 Montague Street, a 20-story residential building in the Borough Hall Skyscraper Historic District of Brooklyn Heights. The 140,700-square-foot structure is designed by Beyer Blinder Belle with James M. Patterson of Ancora Engineering listed as the applicant of record, and developed by Midtown Equities, which purchased the 10,000-square-foot site for $25 million from HSBC Bank.

Construction is wrapping up on The Central at 5th, a 367-foot-tall Hilton Grand Vacation Hotel at 12 East 48th Street in Midtown East. Designed by Handel Architects and developed by Hidrock Realty, the 31-story structure will yield 161 rooms across 125,000 square feet. DeSimone Consulting Engineers is the structural engineer, The Rinaldi Group is the general contractor, and IBA Consulting & Engineering, PLLC is the envelope consultant for the building, which is located between Madison Avenue to the east and Fifth Avenue to the west.
