ODA-Designed 190 South 1st Street Nears Completion, Williamsburg

The last time we reported on 190 South 1st Street, YIMBY had the opportunity to go on a tour of the construction site. Now, we have images of the nearly-completed 13-story building, and the final look is strikingly close to what’s depicted in the renderings. The brutalist concrete facade is well balanced from the tower portion, all the way down to the community facility space along Driggs Avenue.

First Look At Plans for 145 West 108th Street, Upper West Side

The Upper West Side doesn’t often see major new residential developments, especially of the affordable variety, which is why HPD’s plans for 145 West 108th Street, on behalf of the West Side Federation for Senior and Supportive Housing, are somewhat surprising. Dattner Architects will be designing, and today, YIMBY has the first images of what the two-building project will look like.

Permits Filed for Transient Hotel and Community Facility at 2201 Neptune Avenue, Coney Island, Brooklyn

Permits have been filed for a new hotel at 2201 Neptune Avenue, in Coney Island. Guests will be ten blocks away from the D, F, N, and Q trains at the Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue Station. The building will be located right on Coney Island Creek, providing guests with views of Brooklyn, Staten Island, and the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge. SWA Architecture, a Manhattan-based firm, will design the seven-story structure.
