Since then, the neighboring building has also met the wrecking ball, and the latest new building applications show a “major alteration” will result in a completely new structure, which YIMBY can reveal today.

On the eastern side of Lexington Avenue between 33rd and 34th Streets, in the heart of Midtown, a new residential rental tower has topped-out. YIMBY revealed the design back in 2014 before permits were pulled in early 2015. C3D Architecture is behind the project’s design, which currently looks markedly different from what’s rendered, though that may not be the case for much longer.

Permits Filed For 316 East 165th Street, Concourse Village, Bronx

Permits have been filed for a new four-story school within walking distance of Yankee Stadium. The lot, at 316 East 165th Street, is currently used for parking. The project is being developed by Bronx-based CG Educational Holding Corporation, and the school will be twelve blocks away from the 167th street stop on the B and D subway lines.

Post-rezoning, Hudson Square is bustling with residential redevelopments, with sites like 100 Varick, 100 Vandam, and 565 Broome Street now rising all at once. Another tower will soon join the mix, as Eastern Consolidated has now secured a $215 million construction loan for 537 Greenwich Street, which will be developed by Cape Advisors and Strategic Real Estate LLC.
