Rose Hill Nears Completion at 30 East 29th Street in NoMad, Manhattan

Exterior work is wrapping up on Rose Hill, a 639-foot-tall residential skyscraper at 30 East 29th Street in NoMad. Designed by CetraRuddy Architecture and developed by Rockefeller Group, the 45-story tower features a distinctive Art Deco-inspired façade and will yield 123 condominiums marketed by CORE Real Estate. Sales have launched for the homes, which come in one- to four-bedroom layouts and range in price from $1.385 million to upward of $19.5 million for the penthouse unit. Rose Hill’s name is derived from the former 130-acre Rose Hill Farm estate that once occupied this part of Midtown, Manhattan. The property is situated between Madison Avenue to the west and Park Avenue South to the east.

300 West 30th Street’s Envelope Progresses in Chelsea, Manhattan

Curtain wall installation is progressing on 300 West 30th Street, a 16-story residential building in Chelsea. Designed by Studio C Architects and developed by Hiwin USA, the property is located at the corner of West 30th Street and Eighth Avenue, a short walk from Madison Square Garden, Penn Station, and the new Moynihan Train Hall, and will yield 80 residential units and ground-floor retail space. The developer purchased the site from Salt Equities for $27.5 million in May 2018.

Façade installation is continuing on the lower portions of the NoMad Ritz Carlton, a 580-foot-tall hotel skyscraper at 1185 Broadway. Designed by Rafael Vinoly and developed by MarriottRitz Carlton Hotels, and Flag Luxury Properties, the 40-story structure will yield 250 guest rooms spread across 150,000 square feet at the corner of Broadway and West 28th Street.

351 Marin Boulevard’s Brick Façade Nears Completion in Jersey City

The brick and glass curtain wall is nearing completion on 351 Marin Boulevard, a 383-foot-tall residential tower in downtown Jersey City. Designed by Hollwich Kushner in collaboration with HLW International and developed in a joint venture between KRE Group and Northwestern Mutual, the 38-story edifice will yield 507 residential units, 8,000 square feet of commercial space, 203 parking spaces, and a 4,500-square-foot public plaza with a freestanding pavilion. The property is located on a rectangular parcel bound by Marin Boulevard to the east, 1st Street to the north, Bay Street to the south, and low-rise buildings to the west.

Excavation and Foundations Progressing at 241 West 28th Street in Chelsea, Manhattan

Below-grade work is progressing at 241 West 28th Street, a 22-story, 479-unit residential project in Chelsea. Designed by COOKFOX for MAG Partners, Atalaya, Safanad, and Qualitas, the two-tower development recently acquired $173 million in construction financing arranged by Maverick Commercial Properties. MAG Partners acquired the Midtown, Manhattan property in December 2018 and established a 99-year ground lease with Edison Properties. 241 West 28th Street is located between Seventh and Eighth Avenues and will have 30 percent of residential units reserved for low- and middle-income households. Urban Atelier Group is the general contractor.
