200 Amsterdam Avenue’s Duplex Penthouse Model Coming Soon to Manhattan’s Upper West Side

The Upper West Side’s top-selling new development, 200 Amsterdam, has shared with YIMBY that a new penthouse designed by Studio Mellone will be unveiled in the coming months. As a part of the building’s Penthouse Collection, the residence sits amongst the top floors of the 52-story, 668-foot-tall, 112-unit, and 300,000-square foot condominium tower, which is located on the corner of 69th Street and Amsterdam Avenue. The Art Deco-inspired tower was designed by Elkus Manfredi Architects, and developed by SJP Properties and Mitsui Fudosan America, with interior spaces by CetraRuddy. Closings are underway, and prices for available one- to five-bedroom residences starts at $3.1 million. The Penthouse Collection includes full-floor and duplex residences beginning at $17.9 million.

The Riverview Completes Construction at 219 Hudson Street in Hudson Square, Manhattan

Construction is complete on The Riverview, a ten-story condominium building at 219 Hudson Street in Hudson Square. Designed by Rawlings Architects and developed by Joel Braver, the property will yield 14 units, ground-floor retail space, and a community facility at the intersection of Hudson and Canal Streets, just to the west of the entrance to the Holland Tunnel.

Finishing Touches Underway on Tin Building in Seaport District, Manhattan

Finishing touches are underway on the Tin Building, a three-story commercial market building at 95 Marginal Street on Pier 17 in the South Street Seaport District. Designed by SHoP Architects and developed by Howard Hughes Corporation with Plaza Construction as construction manager, the 53,000-square-foot structure will house a new seafood-themed market by Jean-Georges Vongerichten. The steel-framed low-rise building is located to the east of South Street and the elevated FDR Drive, directly to the west of SHoP’s Pier 17 structure, which features multiple restaurants and bars and has hosted many events on its expansive outdoor rooftop since its completion several years ago.

63 Pitt Street Tops Out on Manhattan’s Lower East Side

Construction has topped out on 63 Pitt Street, a 12-story residential building on Manhattan’s Lower East Side. Designed by Frank Quatela Architects and developed by Prosper Property Group, the reinforced concrete structure will yield 56,589 square feet with 59 rental apartments. First Standard Construction Inc. is the general contractor for the property, which is located between Delancey and Rivington Streets.

One Bell Slip Nears Completion in Greenpoint, Brooklyn

Exterior work is finishing up on One Bell Slip, a 30-story residential tower in Greenpoint, Brooklyn‘s Greenpoint Landing waterfront master plan. Designed by Handel Architects and developed by Brookfield Property Partners and Park Tower Group, the 369-foot-tall reinforced concrete structure will yield 292,029 square feet and 414 residential units, with 124 slated for affordable housing, as well as 992 square feet of commercial space on the lower floors. The tower is being built at the corner of Bell Slip and Commercial Street along Newtown Creek and East River waterfront.

Calyer Place’s 40-Story Tower Nears Topping Out in Greenpoint, Brooklyn

Construction is approaching topping out on Calyer Place, a 40-story residential tower in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. The master plan is being done by Cooper Robertson & Partners and SLCE Architects is the designer of the buildings. M&H Realty LLC is the developer of the 439-foot-tall tower will be joined by another 40-story structure and a pair of 19- and 14-story buildings. In total, the development will yield 1 million square feet with around 700,000 square feet of residential space spread across 700 apartments, as well as 10,000 square feet of commercial space, 7,160 square feet for unspecified community facility use, and over 600 parking spaces. The entire project is expected to cost $500 million. The land was once home to the historic Greenpoint Terminal Market, which suffered a ten-alarm fire in the mid-2000s and was demolished in 2017.

New Rendering Released for 589 Fulton Street Skyscraper in Downtown Brooklyn

YIMBY spotted a new aerial rendering for 589 Fulton Street, a 52-story mixed-use skyscraper proposed for Downtown Brooklyn. Designed by Beyer Blinder Belle and developed by Witkoff and Apollo Global Management, the 575-foot-tall, 597,824-square-foot tower will rise from a plot bound by DeKalb Avenue to the north, Flatbush Avenue Extension diagonally to the east, Fulton Street to the south, and Bond Street to the west.

35 Commercial Street Climbs Above Street Level in Greenpoint, Brooklyn

Construction is rising above street level on 35 Commercial Street, a 22-story residential tower in Greenpoint, Brooklyn‘s Greenpoint Landing mega-complex. Designed by Handel Architects and developed by Park Tower Group along with Greenpoint Landing Associates, New York City’s Housing Preservation & Development (HPD), and the Housing Development Corporation (HDC), the 344,463-square-foot structure will yield 373 affordable housing units. Construction began last year after the acquisition of $170 million in construction financing. Monadnock Construction is the general contractor for the property, which is located between the intersection of Bell Slip to the west and Commercial and Clay Streets to the south.

Eagle + West Nears Completion at 227 West Street in Greenpoint, Brooklyn

Exterior work is finishing up on Eagle + West, a two-tower residential project at 227 West Street in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Designed by OMA and Beyer Blinder Belle and developed by Brookfield Property Partners and Park Tower Group, the 30- and 40-story reinforced concrete superstructures will yield a total of 745 rental units, with 30 percent planned as “income-targeted” apartments, marketed in accordance with the Affordable Housing New York program. James Corner Field Operations is the landscape architect, DeSimone Consulting Engineers is the structural engineer, Thornton Tomasetti is the façade consultant, Marmol Radziner is designing the interiors, and Highbury Concrete is responsible for constructing the buildings, which are located off the corner of Eagle and West Streets within the Greenpoint Landing master plan.

23-20 Jackson Avenue Completes Construction in Long Island City, Queens

Construction is complete on 23-20 Jackson Avenue, a nine-story mixed-use building in Long Island City, Queens. Designed by KSQ Architects and developed by The Vorea Group, the 85,851-square-foot structure yields retail space, offices, and a 72-room hotel operated by San Francisco-based hotelier Sonder Corp. King Contracting Group was in charge of assembling the red brick façade for the property, which is located at the intersection of Jackson Avenue and Pearson Street.
