The low-rise brick structures housing the Brooklyn Bowl and Brooklyn Brewery — spanning 61-71 Wythe Avenue, in northern Williamsburg — are on the market, reports Crain’s Business. Although leases don’t expire for a couple more years, if community space is included, up to 170,000 square-feet of mixed-use commercial and community-use development rights could be utilized. The assemblage is being valued at over $50 million.
When Hurricane Sandy hit, most of the damage to Manhattan came in the form of flooding, but some buildings were also casualties of high winds. DNAinfo reports BFC Partners have broken ground this week on Empire Outlets, a 100-store mall at 35 Richmond Terrace, in St. George. The development will also include an 11-story, 190-unit mixed-use hotel and residential building, and the entire project will total 443,000 square feet. DNAinfo also broke news of the mall’s most recently signed tenants; Applebee’s, Gap, and White House Black Market will together take 100,000 square feet, joining H&M and Nordstrom Rack.
