New Website Shows Off More of Hudson Yards

One of the most prominent new developments in New York City is currently under construction on Manhattan’s far West Side. Hudson Yards, when complete, will be a massive mixed-use complex, and now, thanks to a recently-launched website, we have some new looks at the project.

While Hudson Yards will have a significant office component – 10 Hudson Yards is already nearing completion – the new website focuses not on what it will be like to work there, but what it will be like to live there. That’s both the literal sense of actually living within Hudson Yards, and what it will be like for those who live near the development.

When it comes to where people will live, the site focuses on the tower to be known as 15 Hudson Yards. Designed by Diller Scofidio + Renfro with Kohn Pederson Fox as master planner, the building will rise 70 stories to 910 feet (a little shy of supertall status) and house 391 residences. Some will be for sale and some will be for rent. It’s due by 2018. In the end, there will be over 4,000 residences at Hudson Yards.

Residents will be in close proximity to 100 stores, including the city’s first Neiman Marcus. There will also be 16 dining options, including some curated by Thomas Keller.

The site also shows off the observation deck that will be at 90-story office tower 30 Hudson Yards. That building is due by 2019 and will house clients including TimeWarner, HBO, CNN, Warner Bros., and Wells Fargo Securities.

Other aspects of Hudson Yards are the cultural center called The Shed, 14 acres of public open space (and connection to the High Line), a 750-seat public school, and a 200-room Equinox hotel.
