Permits have been filed for a 19-story residential building at 200 East 20th Street in Manhattan’s Gramercy Park. The development site is less than a block away from the neighborhood’s mysterious namesake, Gramercy Park. CetraRuddy will be responsible for the design.

The 210-foot-tall structure will yield 82,800 square feet, with 2,730 square feet dedicated to commercial retail, and 65,500 square feet dedicated to residential use. 52 apartments will be created, averaging 1,260 square feet apiece, indicating condominiums.

Residents will have access to common terraces on the second floor and rooftop, a fitness center, pet spa, children’s room, and bicycle storage. The top three floors will each be occupied by a single unit, and the 19th-floor penthouse will have access to a private rooftop terrace.

Yaniv Blumenfeld of Glacier Global Partners will be responsible for the development. The firm purchased 200 East 20th Street in 2015 for $10 million.

Demolition permits have already been filed for the existing four-story structure. The estimated completion date has not been announced.

  1. A 19-story residential building not truck in front of me: Please pardon me for using your space. (Thank you)

  2. Only 200 E20 is mentioned. How much did they pay for the total assemblage?

  3. How can this be approved?
Two brand new luxury towers are in process to be completed (200 East 21st and The Modern at 230 20th Street) will have their views obstructed. Another 19+ story high-rise within half a block of each of the aforementioned seems incongruous with the open feel of the historic Gramercy Park neighborhood.
