Façade work on the Turkevi Center at 821 First Avenue in the Midtown East neighborhood of Turtle Bay is taking shape. Located at the intersection of East 46th Street and First Avenue, the topped-out reinforced concrete skyscraper rises 563 feet and will eventually serve as the consulate of the Republic of Turkey. Perkins Eastman is the designer of the 35-story mixed-use development.
A recently revealed rendering offers a first glimpse of 200 Parkville Avenue in Kensington, Brooklyn. The residential building is designed by Charles Mallea Architect, who outfitted the structure with a modernist, mixed-material façade comprised of composite wood, grey masonry, and white ornamental accents.
Permits have been filed for a 29-story mixed-use building at 430 Main Street on Roosevelt Island. Located on the east side of the island, the lot is near the Roosevelt Island subway station, serviced by the F train. Related Companies and Hudson Companies are listed as the owner behind the applications. The development partners are also responsible for the recently topped-off Riverwalk Park rental development on Roosevelt Island. This may be the ninth and final component in the nine-building Riverwalk rental complex.
Demolition permits have been filed for a three-story building at 297 Third Avenue in Gramercy, Manhattan. Located between East 23rd Street and East 22nd Street, the site is two blocks east of the 23rd Street subway station, serviced by the 6 train. SMA Equities is listed as the owner behind the applications.
Charles Mallea Architects has revealed a first look at 100 Lenox Road, a forthcoming eight-story residential development in Flatbush, Brooklyn. Permits were originally filed in 2017 by B.H. Tal Real Estate, which partnered with Bienenfeld Architecture to develop the corner lot. At some point, those plans were scrapped, and a year later Pulse Bedford Development, J Frankl Associates, and Charles Mallea Architect were announced as the project’s new development team.
