Construction permits have been filed for an eight-story residential building at 790 Liberty Avenue in East New York, Brooklyn. Designed by Jay Architect & Engineering, the 80-foot-tall structure will span 35,513 square feet and yield 53 units, as well as 14 enclosed and seven open parking spaces. The permit is a post-approval amendment to a filing made early 2022 that was approved under the New York City 421A permitting program, which expired in June 2022. This amendment allows the site to maintain its 421A tax exemption. David Goldberger is listed as the owner of the property, which is located at the corner of Liberty Avenue and Berriman Street.

Foundation work is progressing at 80 Clarkson Street, the site of a two-tower residential complex in Manhattan’s West Village. Designed by COOKFOX Architects with SLCE Architects as the architect of record and developed by Zeckendorf Development, Atlas Capital, and The Baupost Group, the $1.25 billion project will consist of 29- and 36-story towers spanning a total of 937,808 square feet with over 100 condominium units across the two towers, and commercial space on the lower levels. WSP is the structural engineer for the project.

LPC To Review Proposal For Wall Signage At 459 West Broadway In Soho, Manhattan

The New York Landmark Preservation Commission will review a proposal for new signage at 459 West Broadway, a six-story residential building in Soho‘s Cast Iron Historic District in Manhattan on Tuesday, February 27. The proposal, which was arranged by JPD Preservation Consulting and Overall Murals, is to replace the existing signage painted on the building’s façade and issue ten-year permits for a new painted sign approximately the same size and in the same location.

Exterior work is nearly complete on The Greenwich by Rafael Viñoly, an 88-story residential skyscraper at 125 Greenwich Street in Manhattan’s Financial District. Designed by Rafael Viñoly Architects and developed by Fortress Investment Group, Bilgili, and Bizzi & Partners, the 912-foot-tall structure will yield 272 condominium units designed by March & White (MAWD) and marketed by Douglas Elliman Marketing Development. Homes will range from studios to three-bedroom layouts with pricing starting at $1.15 million. Time Square Construction and Plaza Construction are the general contractors for the property, which is located at the corner of Greenwich and Thames Streets, just south of the World Trade Center complex and Liberty Park.

Excavation Progresses at 354-360 West 52nd Street in Hell’s Kitchen, Manhattan

Excavation and early foundation work is steadily progressing at 354 West 52nd Street, an upcoming seven-story condominium property in Hell’s Kitchen, Manhattan. Designed by Architecture Outfit and developed by Cadence Property Group, HOH Capital Partners, and Deal Lake Capital, who also purchased the adjacent 360 West 52nd Street lot to the west as part of the project, the future 66-foot tall, 55,000-square foot structure will yield 32 units spanning one- to three-bedrooms, stretch nearly 92 feet along West 52nd Street and include a 20-foot wide private main entrance on West 51st Street. Titanium Construction Services, Inc. is the general contractor for the site, which is located between Eighth and Ninth Avenues.

Related Companies Reveals Bid for Supertall Skyscraper Casino Complex in Hudson Yards, Manhattan

Plans have been revealed for Hudson Yards Phase Two, the latest bid for a potential mixed-use casino development in Manhattan. Partners Related Companies and Wynn Resorts filed plans with the Department of City Planning calling for a $12 billion complex consisting of multiple skyscrapers that would yield 1,500 apartments, 2 million square feet of office space, a public school and daycare center, and a hotel and casino operated by the Las Vegas-based hospitality brand. The development is slated to rise directly west of the first phase of Hudson Yards over the 13-acre open-air Western Rail Yards bound by West 33rd Street to the north, West 30th Street to the south, Eleventh Avenue to the east, and West Street to the west.
