Joy Construction Corporation and Maddd Equities have secured $288 million in financing to complete North Cove, a 100-percent affordable housing tower at 373 West 207th Street in Inwood, Manhattan. Designed by Aufgang Architects, the 30-story building will comprise 611 apartments, a collection of amenity spaces, 60,000 square feet of retail on the lower levels, and 120 parking spaces.
Permits have been filed for a four-story residential building at 1446 Bryant Avenue in Crotona Park East, The Bronx. Located between Freeman Street and Jennings Street, the lot is three blocks from the Freeman Street subway station, serviced by the 2 and 5 trains. Eduard Haxhari under the REK Realty LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.
Exterior work is nearing completion on Ruby, a 22-story two-tower residential complex at 241 West 28th Street in Chelsea. Designed by COOKFOX and developed by MAG Partners, Atalaya, Safanad, and Qualitas, the 400,000-square-foot project will yield 480 rental units with 144 reserved for low- and middle-income households, as well as 8,500 square feet of ground-floor retail space. Urban Atelier Group is the general contractor for the property, which is located on a through-block parcel between Seventh and Eighth Avenues with frontage on both West 28th and 29th Streets. The developers are aiming for LEED Silver certification.
The Jersey City Planning Board has approved proposals to construct a new six-story rental property at 316 Forrest Street in New Jersey. Located in the in the Jackson Hill section of Jersey City, the building is designed by Hampton Hill Architecture for an anonymous LLC based in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
Construction is progressing on 735 Ninth Avenue, an eight-story residential building in Hell’s Kitchen, Manhattan. Designed by Bojidar Kadiev and developed by Joseph Galvano under the 735-739 Ninth Avenue Realty Corp., the structure will yield 12 units and ground-floor commercial space for a restaurant and retail tenant. Xenon Construction Group is the general contractor for the Midtown property, which is located near the corner of Ninth Avenue and West 50th Street.
