Affordable Housing Development Breaks Ground at 326 Rockaway Avenue in Brownsville, Brooklyn

Construction has broken ground at 326 Rockaway Avenue, the site of a 17-story affordable housing development in Brownsville, Brooklyn. Designed by Aufgang Architects and developed by Slate Property Group and RiseBoro Community Partnership, the project will yield 215 permanently affordable housing units, around 5,000 square feet of ground-floor commercial space, and will debut as one of the most sustainable income-restricted properties in New York City. Slate appointed multidisciplinary design studio OSD (the Office of Strategy and Design) as the landscape architects responsible for designing a welcoming outdoor experience.

Cladding Reaches Monogram New York’s Crown at 135 East 47th Street in Midtown East, Manhattan

Façade installation has reached the Art Deco-inspired crown of Monogram New York, a 35-story residential skyscraper at 135 East 47th Street in Midtown East. Designed by Ismael Leyva Architects and developed by Navigation Capital Group, the 500-foot-tall structure will yield 191 condominium units designed by Shanghai-based Neri & Hu in studio to two-bedroom penthouse layouts, as well as 5,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space. Anthology Group is the hospitality partner and Cauldwell Wingate is the general contractor for the tower, which is located between Lexington and Third Avenues. CORE is handling sales and marketing of the units with asking prices ranging from under $1 million to $5 million for the four-bedroom penthouses.

Designed by dencityworks, a local architecture studio, the 474,000-square-foot building will deliver 456 apartments, a collection of amenity spaces, and 31,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space.

David Paz of Omnia Group under the AEH-VSLV, LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications, and previously filed for a nine-story mixed-use with 26 residences.

Finishing Touches Continue on RAMSA’s 200 East 83rd Street on Manhattan’s Upper East Side

Construction is finishing up on 200 East 83rd Street, a 35-story residential tower in the Yorkville section of Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Designed by Robert A.M. Stern Architects and developed by Naftali Group and Rockefeller Group, the 489-foot-tall structure will yield 205,877 square feet and 86 condominium units with sales and marketing by Compass Development Marketing Group, as well as 3,033 square feet of ground-floor retail space and parking for 26 vehicles. SLCE Architects is the architect of record and Leeding Builders Group is the general contractor for the property, which is located at the corner of Third Avenue and East 83rd Street.
