Demolition is progressing at 201-207 Seventh Avenue, the site of a nine-story residential building in Chelsea, Manhattan. Designed by Amie Gross Architects and developed by New York City’s Department of Housing Preservation and Development, the 85-foot-tall structure will span 30,859 square feet and yield 26 affordable co-op units in studio to three-bedroom layouts, as well as 1,828 square feet of retail space divided among three tenants. Star Companies is the general contractor for the property, which is alternately addressed as 170 West 22nd Street and located at the southeast corner of Seventh Avenue and West 22nd Street.

509 Third Avenue’s Façade Progresses Over Murray Hill, Manhattan

Designed by Ismael Leyva Architects and developed by Kahen Properties with Lalezarian Properties under the Third and Thirty Four LLC, the 386-foot-tall structure will span 166,917 square feet and yield 229 units with an average scope of 692 square feet, as well as 8,253 square feet of retail space and a 30-foot-long yard. Charlton Development Group is the general contractor for the project, which is located at the corner of Third Avenue and East 34th Street.

The project team includes EDRE, Issac & Stern Architects, alongside DXA Studio, which oversaw the building’s interior design. Construction has topped out on 278 Eighth Avenue, a 14-story mixed-use building in Chelsea, Manhattan. Designed by FXCollaborative and developed by Alchemy-ABR Investment Partners and Chelsea 23rd Realty Corporation, an LLC affiliated with JJ Operating, the 175-foot-tall structure will yield 132,700 square feet with 190 rental apartments and multiple levels of retail space. Square Mile Capital and Pacific Western Bank provided $183 million in construction financing for the project, which is being constructed by Leeding Builders Group between West 23rd and West 24th Streets.
