Six-Story, 17-Unit Residential Building Filed at 1764 Union Street, Crown Heights

Brooklyn-based Candor Capital has filed applications for a six-story, 17-unit residential building at 1764 Union Street, on the eastern end of Crown Heights. The project will measure 14,206 square feet and rise to a height of 63 feet. The residential units should average 705 square feet apiece, indicative of rental apartments. There will also be a 396-square-foot recreational area behind the structure. Diego B. Aguilera’s Rego Park-based firm is the architect of record. The 30-foot-wide, 3,483-square-foot lot was occupied by a two-story townhouse until the structure was demolished in October 2015.

New Design Revealed for Eight-Story, 22-Unit Mixed-Use Project at 75 First Avenue, East Village

New renderings have been revealed of the redesigned eight-story, 22-unit mixed-use project under development at 75 First Avenue, located between East Fourth and Fifth streets in the East Village. The project’s developer, Colonnade Group, is expecting the building’s condominiums to sell for a combined $42 million, The Real Deal reported. The latest building permits indicate the structure will encompass 30,058 square feet and rise 80 feet to its main roof.



676 Avenue E

Five-Story, 65-Unit Residential Project Approved at 676 Avenue E, Bayonne, N.J.

Last month, the City of Bayonne’s Planning Board approved plans for a five-story, 65-unit residential project at 676-688 Avenue E, located near East 43rd Street in Bayonne, N.J. The new building will rise 69 feet and contain a mix of one-, two-, and loft-style apartments, Jersey Digs reported. Amenities will include a fitness center, a roof deck, a lounge and a 71-car parking garage. The development site is currently occupied by two single-story commercial buildings. A construction timeline has not been revealed, although the developer, Art Kheyman, stated construction would begin “soon after” final approvals were granted.


34-31 9th Street

Three-Story, Six-Unit Residential Project Planned at 34-31 9th Street, Astoria

A Long Island City-based property owner has filed applications for a three-story, six-unit residential building at 34-31 9th Street, located in the western end of Astoria. The project will measure 5,787 square feet, which means its residential units should average 965 square feet apiece. There will be four off-street parking spaces, two of which will be housed in a garage on the ground floor. Constantine Efstathiou’s Bellmore, N.Y.-based firm is the architect of record. The 50-foot-wide, 5,009-square-foot plot is partly occupied by a three-story townhouse. The new structure will rise on the vacant portion of the lot.
