The affordable housing lottery has launched for 26 Quincy Street, a five-story residential building in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn. Designed by Jeffrey Kamen, the structure yields 43 residences and 22 parking spaces. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 13 units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $83,349 to $167,570.
Construction is almost complete on Stevens Institute of Technology‘s new two-tower Student Housing and University Center in Hoboken, New Jersey. Designed by Design Collective and Wallace Roberts and Todd, the 392,000-square-foot structure is comprised of 16- and 18-story towers rising from a 70,000-square-foot podium, and is the largest expansion in the institute’s history. The new building will accommodate 994 students, bringing Stevens’ cumulative resident capacity up to 3,500. The project is located along the Hudson River waterfront and is expected to cost $256 million.
Square Mile Capital and Pacific Western Bank are set to provide $183 million in construction financing for a 12-story mixed-use property at 258-278 Eighth Avenue in Chelsea, Manhattan. A new Target retail store will occupy 28,000 square feet of the building’s lower levels. Above these floors, the development will house 190 rental apartments and associated amenities.
Permits have been filed for a six-story residential building at 11655 Seaview Avenue in East New York, Brooklyn. Located at the intersection of Seaview Avenue and Fountain Avenue, the corner lot is closest to the New Lots Avenue subway station, serviced by the 2, 3, and 4 trains. Apex Building Group under the VBK C3 Owner LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.
Construction is complete on 40 Bleecker Street, a 12-story residential building at the corner of Mulberry and Bleecker Streets in NoHo. Designed by Rawlings Architects and developed by Broad Street Development, the property yields 61 one- to five-bedroom units with interiors designed by Ryan Korban. Sales and marketing are being led by Fredrik Eklund of Million Dollar Listing: New York fame, as well as John Gomes and Sarah Burke of Douglas Elliman Development Marketing. Edmund Hollander Design is carrying out the landscaping for the private outdoor terraces and the 5,600-square-foot rear courtyard.
