At number five on our year-end countdown of the tallest construction projects in New York is The Greenwich by Rafael Viñoly, a 912-foot-tall residential skyscraper at 125 Greenwich Street in Manhattan’s Financial District. Designed by Rafael Viñoly Architects and developed by Fortress Investment Group, Bilgili, and Bizzi & Partners, the 88-story structure will yield 272 condominium units in studio to three-bedroom layouts. The property is located at the corner of Greenwich and Thames Streets, just south of Liberty Park and the World Trade Center complex.

At number six on our annual countdown of the 31 tallest buildings under construction in New York is 262 Fifth Avenue, an 860-foot-tall residential skyscraper in NoMad, Manhattan. Designed by Meganom with SLCE Architects as the executive architect and developed by Boris Kuzinez of Five Points Development, the 56-story structure will yield 26 full-floor and duplex condominium units with an average scope of 3,200 square feet, including at least one quadruplex unit. PG New York is heading the facade installation. The tower stands on a 5,000-square-foot plot at the southwest corner of Fifth Avenue and West 29th Street.

At number seven on our year-end countdown of the tallest buildings under construction in New York is The Orchard, an 823-foot-tall residential skyscraper at 42-22 Orchard Street in Long Island City, Queens. Designed by Perkins Eastman and developed by BLDG Management Co., the 70-story structure surpassed the Skyline Tower at 23-15 44th Drive for the title of the tallest building in the borough and will yield 824 rental units in studio to three-bedroom layouts, with 248 designated as affordable housing, as well as 13,000 square feet of retail space along Jackson Avenue, 100,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor amenities, and a two-story parking garage with 207 enclosed spaces. The property is alternately addressed as 43-01 Queens Street and 27-48 Jackson Avenue and occupies a full city block along Jackson Avenue between Queens and Orchard Streets.
