Façade Work Begins on 200 East 83rd Street’s Rising Superstructure on Manhattan’s Upper East Side

Construction is rising on 200 East 83rd Street, a 449-foot-tall residential tower from Robert A.M. Stern on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Developed by Naftali Group and Rockefeller Group, the 243,128-square-foot development reinforced concrete structure will rise to a height of 35 stories and house 86 units spread over 205,877 square feet, for an average of 2,393 square feet apiece. SLCE Architects is the architect of record for the project, which is located at the corner of Third Avenue and East 83rd Street.

Affordable Housing Lottery Launches for 337 Units at 5Pointz in Long Island City, Queens

The affordable housing lottery has launched for 5Pointz, a 48-story mixed-use tower at 22-44 Jackson Avenue in Long Island City, Queens. Designed by HTO Architects and developed by G&M Realty, the 1.21 million-square-foot development stands on the site of the former 5Pointz warehouse, and will yield 1,122 units. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 337 units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income, ranging in eligible income from $63,429 to $192,400.

Yonkers IDA Approves Incentives Package for Rental Property at 56 Prospect Street

The Yonkers Industrial Development Agency has granted final approvals for a seven-story rental building at 56 Prospect Street. The incentives package is valued at $32.6 million and is awarded to Regency Apartment Ventures, LLC, the Long Island-based developer responsible for the project.

Located at 437-441 Lewis Avenue and 39 Chauncey Street, the property is within the Bedford-Stuyvesant Historic District and requires a Certificate of Appropriateness from the commission before construction can begin.

Stern Architects and developed by CBSK Ironstate, a partnership of CB Developers, SK Development, and Ironstate, the property will yield 15 units with interiors by Kelly Behun Studio. The site is located along Madison Avenue between East 88th and 89th Streets, just behind Frank Lloyd Wright’s Guggenheim Museum.

601 West 29th Street Tops Out, Will Bring 200+ Affordable Housing Units to Hudson Yards, Manhattan

This week Douglaston Development announced the topping out of 601 West 29th Street, a mixed-use residential tower that will bring 703 market-rate and 235 affordable housing residences to West Chelsea. The 60-story skyscraper encompasses an entire block on 11th Avenue from West 29th to West 30th Streets on the border of West Chelsea and Hudson Yards. In addition to the 938 rentals, components include over 50,000 square feet of amenity space and 15,000 square feet of retail space. FXCollaborative is responsible for the design of the 695-foot-tall building, with Levine Builders handling construction.
