Nine-Story, 86-Unit Condo Building Revealed At 25-19 43rd Avenue, Long Island City

In March, Ekstein Development began excavation at 25-19 43rd Avenue, in Long Island City, where a nine-story, 86-unit residential building is planned, and now Real Estate Weekly has renderings of the project, dubbed Dutch. The 86 condominiums will spread across 68,145 square feet of residential space, working out to an average unit of just 792 square feet. GF55 Partners is designing, while GACE Consulting Engineers is serving as the structural engineer. Foundation work is currently underway, per TCSB, and completion is slated for January 2017.

Eight-Family Building Coming To 850 Putnam Avenue, Bedford-Stuyvesant

Property owner Jia W Yu, operating under an anonymous LLC, has filed applications for a four-story, eight-unit residential building at 850 Putnam Avenue, in eastern Bedford-Stuyvesant. The building will measure 8,330 square feet, which means units will average 1,040 square feet each. Anthony Lee’s AJR Architecture is the architect of record, and an existing two-story home must first be demolished.


65 Woodbine Street

Four-Story, Eight-Unit Rental Building Planned At 65 Woodbine Street, Bushwick

Property owner Jack David has filed applications for a four-story, eight-unit residential building at 65 Woodbine Street, in central Bushwick, a few blocks from the Gates Avenue stop on the J/Z trains. Units will probably be rentals, measuring just 680 square feet in the 5,450 square-foot building. Suresh Manchanda’s L&C Associates is the applicant of record, and a two-story, single-family townhouse must first be demolished.

Four-Story, 10-Unit Residential Building Filed At 196 Freeman Street, Greenpoint

Yidel Hirsch has filed applications for a four-story, 10-unit residential building at 194-196 Freeman Street, in northern Greenpoint, three blocks north of the Greenpoint Avenue station on the G train. The building will measure 8,985 square feet, which means units will average nearly 900 square feet. An existing three-story mixed-use building must first be demolished, and Julien Flander is the applicant of record.
