An anonymous Brooklyn-based LLC has filed applications for a three-story, three-unit residential building at 2064 57th Street, in Mapleton. The project will measure 6,082 square feet and its full-floor residential units should average 1,520 square feet apiece, indicative of condominiums. The ground floor will also feature space located in the cellar, and the structure will be topped by a roof terrace. Hudson Valley-based Kenneth Thomas is the applicant of record. The 40-foot-wide, 4,000-square-foot plot is occupied by a two-story house. Demolition permits were filed earlier this month. The Bay Parkway stop on the F train is five blocks away.

An anonymous Flushing-based LLC has filed applications for four three-story, three-unit residential buildings at 220-03 – 220-11 64th Avenue, in Bayside’s Oakland Gardens section. That’s a neighborhood located along the Long Island Expressway in eastern Queens. The buildings will each measure 3,600 square feet, and across all four, the full-floor residential units should average 900 square feet apiece. Each apartment will come with a single off-street parking space. An Shen Ma’s Flushing-based architecture firm is the architect of record. The vacant 12,000-square-foot property, located on the corner of 220th Street, is currently utilized as a parking lot.

42-Story, 429-Unit Mixed-Use Building Rises To Seventh Floor At 212 East 44th Street, Midtown East

Construction is now seven stories above street level on the 42-story, 429-unit mixed-use building under development at 212 East 44th Street (a.k.a. 222 East 44th Street), in Midtown East. The structure can be seen thanks to photos posted to the YIMBY Forums by Tectonic. The latest building permits indicate the project will measure 361,354 square feet and rise 556 feet above street level.


500 West 52nd Street

Six-Story Commercial Building At 500 West 52nd Street To Get 46-Unit Affordable Residential Conversion, Hell’s Kitchen

The Clinton Housing Development Company (CHDC) is planning to convert the six-story commercial building at 500 West 52nd Street, located on the corner of Tenth Avenue in Hell’s Kitchen, into 46 affordable residential units exclusively for seniors who are performance artists. The conversion will also include the creation of 13,000 square feet of non-profit office space.
