Permits are up for a new six-story mixed-use structure at 996 Manhattan Avenue in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Adam Rolston of Incorporated Architecture and Design is the designer for the project, which will be developed by Lee Cohen of BHLD Capital.
Since we last checked up on One Clinton Street, back in late August, it was only about nine stories above street level. Now, the 36-story residential tower is climbing past the halfway mark on its way to a 409-foot pinnacle. The Marvel Architects-designed skyscraper is being developed by Hudson Companies, and will span 295,000 square feet when finished. The triangular-shaped property sits at the northern confluence of Cadman Plaza West and Clinton Street, and is also known as 280 Cadman Plaza. Located in Brooklyn Heights, the building will have 134 units and 114 off-site affordable units. One Clinton Street Library will be built on the lower floors, replacing the site’s formerly extant Brooklyn Heights Library.
Permits have been filed for a new 30-story residential building at 1625 Shore Parkway, in the South Brooklyn neighborhood of Bensonhurst. The site is between Belt Parkway and Cropsey Avenue, and about three blocks away from Bensonhurst Park. The closest subway station, Bay Parkway, sits three avenues away and is serviced by the D train. The historically Italian neighborhood has a fabric more akin to suburban sprawl, featuring many big-box shopping options. The new structure will be located near Caesar’s Bay Shopping Center, a commercial strip with stores including BJ’s Wholesale, Best Buy, and Modell’s Sporting Goods.
Permits have been filed for a new seven-story residential structure at 244 East 52nd Street, in Midtown East. Issac & Stern Architects, P.C. is the designer, and Yehuda Mor of Minrav USA / 244 E 52 Owner LLC is listed as the developer.
The outer sculptural facade of 11 Hoyt is beginning to ascend up the building, piece by piece. The 57-story, ground-up skyscraper is being designed by Studio Gang Architects, and Tishman Speyer is the developer of the 770,000 square foot project, located in Downtown Brooklyn. Hill West is the architect of record, while Corcoran Sunshine Marketing Group is managing sales for the 480 condominiums that are being designed by London-based Michaelis Boyd Associates.
