The Jersey City Planning Board has approved proposals to construct a new six-story rental property at 316 Forrest Street in New Jersey. Located in the in the Jackson Hill section of Jersey City, the building is designed by Hampton Hill Architecture for an anonymous LLC based in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
Construction is progressing on 735 Ninth Avenue, an eight-story residential building in Hell’s Kitchen, Manhattan. Designed by Bojidar Kadiev and developed by Joseph Galvano under the 735-739 Ninth Avenue Realty Corp., the structure will yield 12 units and ground-floor commercial space for a restaurant and retail tenant. Xenon Construction Group is the general contractor for the Midtown property, which is located near the corner of Ninth Avenue and West 50th Street.
Permits have been filed to expand a two-story structure into a four-story residential building at 1331 Morris Avenue in Claremont, The Bronx. Located between East 169th Street and East 170th Street, the interior lot is near the 170th Street subway station, serviced by the B and D trains. CNC Developers is listed as the owner behind the applications.
Excavation is progressing for the Affordable Independent Residences for Seniors, an 11-story residential building at 2224 Cropsey Avenue in Gravesend, Brooklyn. Designed by Kutnicki Bernstein Architects and developed by Cropsey AIRS LLC, the 105-foot-tall structure will span 765,291 square feet with 110 senior living units, a 108,793-square-foot community facility, a cellar level, and a 21-foot-long rear yard. NY Developers & Management is the general contractor for the property, which is located by the intersection of Cropsey Avenue and Bay 31st Street, directly northwest of Hill West Architects‘ 30-story 2230 Cropsey Avenue.
Construction has made significant progress on The Metropolitan, a rising mixed-use complex in Springfield, New Jersey. Garden Communities, the developer of the complex, recently celebrated the completion of several construction milestones and is confident that pre-leasing will launch this summer.
