Excavation is moving along at 15 Hanover Place, the site of a 34-story residential skyscraper in Downtown Brooklyn. Designed by Fogarty Finger and developed by Lonicera Partners, for which Cushman & Wakefield arranged $134 million in construction financing from Santander and City National Bank, the 463-foot-tall structure will span 70,734 square feet and yield 314 apartments with 95 reserved for affordable housing, as well as 9,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space. Noble Construction Group is serving as the general contractor for the property, which was formerly addressed as 23 Hanover Place and is located at the corner of Livingston Street and Hanover Place.
Brooklyn Brewery has announced plans to relocate its flagship facility to 1 Wythe Avenue, a new mixed-use development in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. The planned flagship will anchor the building, which is just four blocks north of the brewery’s current Williamsburg location.
Work is complete on 22 Chapel Street, a 20-story residential building in Downtown Brooklyn. Designed by CetraRuddy and developed by Delshah Capital and OTL Enterprises, the 211-foot-tall structure spans 133,181 square feet and yields 180 apartments, with 25 designated for affordable housing, as well as a 5,000-square-foot branch of START Treatment & Recovery Center, New York’s largest independent drug treatment agency. The building also contains 2,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space. Titanium Construction Services was the general contractor for the property, which is bound by Chapel Street to the north, Cathedral Place to the south, Flatbush Avenue Extension to the east, and Jay Street to the west.
Elijah Equities and JLL have revealed a pair of duplex penthouse office suites at 520 West 20th Street in Manhattan, following a major renovation and expansion of the former industrial building. Located on the western edge of Chelsea, the 100,000-square-foot property was transformed by Morris Adjmi Architects to suit gallery and enterprise commercial tenants.
Façade work is moving along on Turken House, a 21-story residential building at 300 East 41st Street in the Murray Hill section of Midtown. Designed by Perkins + Will and developed by non-profit The Turken Foundation, which assists Turkish students in earning scholarships and job opportunities in the United States, the 227-foot-tall structure will yield 80,000 square feet with 82 turnkey residences in single- and double-occupancy configurations. Fast Track Construction is the general contractor for the property, which is located at the corner of East 41st Street and Second Avenue, near the United Nations and Grand Central Terminal.
