Designed by SHoP Architects and developed by JDS DevelopmentProperty Markets Group, and Spruce Capital Partners, the 84-story skyscraper will yield 60 condominiums designed by Studio Sofield and marketed by The Corcoran Group. WSP is the structural engineer, Jaros, Baum & Bolles is the MEP engineer, R&R Scaffolding Ltd. provided the building maintenance unit (BMU) sitting atop the crown, RWDI consulted with the design of the dampening system, and BuroHappold Engineering is the façade consultant for the tower, which is located between Sixth and Seventh Avenues on Billionaires’ Row.

Construction is nearing completion on 50 Hudson Yards, a 58-story commercial supertall in Hudson Yards. Designed by Foster + Partners and developed by Related Companies and Oxford Properties, the 1,011-foot-tall skyscraper will yield 2.9 million square feet of office space, making it the largest building by volume in the first phase of Related’s Hudson Yards complex. ArcelorMittal provided the steel, Langan Engineering is the civil and environmental engineer, and WSP is the structural and MEP engineer for the project, which occupies a full-block parcel bound by West 34th Street to the north, Tenth Avenue to the east, West 33rd Street to the south, and Hudson Boulevard to the west.

The Spiral’s First Construction Elevator Comes Down at 66 Hudson Boulevard in Hudson Yards, Manhattan

Exterior work is starting to wrap up on the The Spiral, a 66-story commercial supertall at 66 Hudson Boulevard in Hudson Yards. Designed by Bjarke Ingels Group and developed by Tishman Speyer, the 1,041-foot-tall tower will yield 2.85 million square feet of office space and is expected to cost nearly $3.7 billion. Turner Construction Company is the general contractor, Banker Steel provided the steel work, R&R Scaffolding Ltd. provided the BMU equipment, and Permasteelisa is the contractor for the reflective floor-to-ceiling glass panels on the building, which occupies an entire city block between Tenth and Eleventh Avenues and 34th and 35th Streets.
