Updated Renderings for 301 East 81st Street Reveal Two-Story Addition

After nearly a century of development, the MTA debuted phase one of its Second Avenue expansion in 2017. The surrounding Upper East Side community has since experienced a flurry of new residential, retail, and commercial developments that now have access to a dedicated subway line. Developed by Icon Realty Management, 301 East 81st Street, also known as 1562 Second Avenue, is one of many forthcoming projects in the area. Today, YIMBY has new renderings for the tower, and the updated plans now include a two-story addition compared to the original illustrations.

New renderings have been unveiled for “The Shoppes on 82nd Street,” located between Ithaca Street and Roosevelt Avenue on 82nd Street, at the border of Jackson Heights and Elmhurst, in Queens. The outdoor mall, currently under construction, is served by five subway lines in the area, including the E, F, M, and R trains at 74th Street and Broadway, as well as the 7 train at the 82nd Street station. The project is situated in a prime shopping district of Jackson Heights, with more than 20 national and regional chain stores, and is also easily accessible by car via the Grand Central Parkway, Brooklyn Queens Expressway, and the Long Island Expressway.

Checking In On Ceruzzi Properties’ Planned 76-Story Skyscraper at 520 Fifth Avenue, in Midtown Manhattan

Set to rise at the northern corner of Fifth Avenue and West 43rd Street, 520 Fifth Avenue is likely to be the first skyscraper along Fifth Avenue to top the 900-foot mark. The project will rise in the heart of Midtown, one street away from the eastern end of Bryant Park. The glass-enclosed tower will have 76 floors and stand 920 feet to its pinnacle. Handel Architects is the architect, and Arthur Hooper of Ceruzzi Properties will be developing in conjunction with SMI USA.

Fresh Renderings Reveal Mineola Village Green in Mineola, Long Island

Back in 2015, plans were approved to begin construction on a number of high-end residential developments in the Downtown center of Mineola, Long Island in an effort to bolster and revitalize the growing community. That initiative includes construction of Mineola Village Green at 199 Second Avenue, a 266-unit residential project designed by local architects Stephen B. Jacobs Group for Lalezarian Properties.
