Construction is now underway at 500 Main Street, the site of a 26-story mixed-use tower in New Rochelle. Designed by Niles Bolton Associates and developed by BRP Companies and the Urban Investment Group of Goldman Sachs Asset Management, the downtown project will yield 620,000 square feet with 477 rental apartments, a church, retail space, and a parking garage with electric vehicle charging stations.

Developers Land $32M Loan for Affordable Housing Tower at 1440 Amsterdam Avenue in West Harlem, Manhattan

Grid Group and Lekas Realty have closed on a $32 million construction loan to complete a high-rise affordable housing property in West Harlem. Located at 1440 Amsterdam Avenue, the property will top out at 26 stories and yield 393 rental apartments, an Associated supermarket on the ground floor, and an enclosed parking garage. The latter includes roughly 120 rent-restricted units, 25 percent of which will be prioritized for current NYCHA residents.

Below-Grade Work Progresses for Kohn Pedersen Fox’s 64 University Place in Greenwich Village, Manhattan

Excavation and foundation work is underway at 64 University Place, the site of an 11-story residential building in Greenwich Village. Designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox and developed by Bsafal, the 125-foot-tall, 55,000-square-foot structure will yield 28 condominium units with sales and marketing led by Fredrik Eklund and John Gomes of the The Eklund ǀ Gomes Team at Douglas Elliman Real Estate, as well as a community facility and ground-floor retail space. SPACE Copenhagen is the interior designer, Deborah Nevins is the landscape designer, and CNY Group is the general contractor for the property, which is located between East 10th and East 11th Streets. Ancora Enginerring is the SOE and foundations  engineer and McNamara Salvia is the structural engineer.



625 Fulton Street’s Foundations Reach Street Level in Downtown Brooklyn

Construction is set to go vertical on 625 Fulton Street, a 35-story mixed-use tower in Downtown Brooklyn. Designed by Fischer Rasmussen Whitefield Architects and developed by Rabsky Group with $450 million in construction financing from Madison Realty Capital, the structure will yield 1,098 units, 26,000 square feet of retail space, and a parking garage for up to 250 vehicles. Galaxy Developers is the general contractor for the property, which is bound by the 34-story 80 DeKalb Avenue to the north, Fulton Street to the south, Rockwell Place to the east, and Hudson Avenue to the west.
