At the end of 2018, residents began moving into the 467 units at ALTA LIC. The 44-story high-rise, located at 29-22 Northern Boulevard, was designed by the Stephen B. Jacobs Group and developed by partners Simon Baron Development and Quadrum Global. Only ongoing interior work at the 11,372-square-foot retail space reminds passersby of recent construction. Already taller towers rise next door, however ALTA’s pivotal location, expressive façade, and distinctive crown assure the skyscraper’s enduring prominence on the rapidly-growing Long Island City skyline.

Leasing at The Pierrepont has officially begun. The upcoming residential building is located at 146 Pierrepont Street in Brooklyn Heights, between Clinton Street and Cadman Plaza West. The mixed-use tower will have 90 boutique apartment units as well as 6,000 square feet of retail space. Designed by Marvel Architects, it is being developed by Jonathan Rose Companies, Bedrock Real Estate Partners, JD Capital USA, and Nuveen Real Estate. Glass Facade Reaching Final Floors Atop 74 Trinity Place, in The Financial District

Work on the reflective exterior glass curtain wall of 74 Trinity Place is now less than ten floors away from reaching the tower’s 424-foot tall roof parapet. Now topped-out 26 stories above the Financial District, the project is being designed by Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects and developed by Trinity Real Estate. Stephen B. Jacobs Group is the executive architect.

BIG’s Second Twisting Tower For The XI Tops at 76 Eleventh Avenue, in Chelsea

The pair of twisting towers at 76 Eleventh Avenue, designed by Bjarke Ingels Group, are now officially topped out. Located in Chelsea, the shorter 300-foot tall building reached its twentieth floor one week ago. The complex, dubbed “The XI,” sits to the west of the High Line, just north of Chelsea Market and the Urban Theater over Eleventh Avenue. HFZ Capital is the developer of the 908,250-square foot site, while Omnibuild is in charge of constructing the reinforced concrete structures. 76 Eleventh Avenue will be a mix of residential units and a Six Senses Hotel.
