Demolition Begins at 207-221 West 84th Street on Manhattan’s Upper West Side

Demolition is getting underway at 207-221 West 84th Street, the site of an 18-story residential building on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. Designed by Hill West Architects and developed by Naftali Group, which purchased the assemblage of properties for $71 million last year, the new 209-foot-tall structure will yield 154,598 square feet with 45 condominium units spread across 151,700 square feet, as well as 2,898 square feet of ground-floor retail space, a cellar level, and 17 enclosed parking spaces. The project spans nearly 250 feet from the corner of Broadway to the middle of the block.

Excavation is underway for the new Rolex headquarters, a 28-story commercial building at 665 Fifth Avenue in Midtown. Designed by David Chipperfield Architects and developed by the Rolex Realty Company, the 419-foot-tall structure will yield 199,000 square feet of office and retail space for the world-famous watchmaker. Pavarini McGovern is the general contractor for the project, which is located at the corner of Fifth Avenue and East 53rd Street.

135 East 47th Street, aka Monogram New York, Progresses With Facade Installation, in Midtown East, Manhattan

Façade installation is progressing on 135 East 47th Street, a 35-story residential skyscraper, named Monogram New York, in Midtown East. Designed by Ismael Leyva Architects and developed by Navigation Capital Group, the 500-foot-tall structure will yield 191 condominium units in studio to two-bedroom layouts, as well as 5,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space. Cauldwell Wingate is in charge of constructing the tower, which is located between Lexington and Third Avenues. Anthology Group is the hospitality partner, while Shanghai-based Neri & Hu is the interior designer.
