New renderings of the project reveal a modified façade, reorganization of rooftop mechanicals, and slightly altered window systems.

Demolition on one of several buildings at 10-14 West 57th Street has been completed. The remaining neighboring structures sit empty and will soon come down to make way for a 52-story mixed-use skyscraper designed by Skidmore Owings & Merrill. James Patterson of Ancora Engineering is the applicant of record. Sheldon Solow, chairman of Solow Realty & Development Group, is the developer for the site and Anthony Calicchio is listed as the owner behind the applications. The new 672-foot-tall, 383,000-square-foot skyscraper will contain 80 residential units spread across 202,738 square feet of space.

The black netting and construction scaffolding are coming down at 1 Great Jones Alley, aka 688 Broadway, in NoHo. The main Broadway elevation is now mostly exposed to the daylight, showcasing the dynamic pattern of terra cotta fins that cover the windows and brick envelope. The 12-story, 154-foot-tall residential building is designed by BKSK Architects and developed by Madison Realty Capital, with HMWhite as the landscape architect. The building will contain 16 units, averaging 2,930 square feet apiece.

New Design for Gene Kaufman’s 76 Eighth Avenue As Excavation Gets Underway, In Greenwich Village

The first stages of excavation are underway at the site of Gene Kaufman Architect‘s future commercial office building at 76 Eighth Avenue. Sang Lee is the developer of the 120-foot-tall structure, which is located on the border of the Meatpacking District and the West Village at the busy corner of Eighth Avenue and West 14th Street. The development will contain 30,000 square feet of office space in addition to ground-floor retail area.

Construction at 232 East 54th Street has topped out. The structure stands 420 feet tall above Midtown East and is being designed by Ismael Leyva Architects. YIMBY last reported that Elk Investors was listed as the exclusive developer of the building, but ownership may have fully transferred to Mossanen Group and an LLC known as East 54th St. Properties. The tower was originally slated to only rise around 20 stories, but this scope was doubled to 40.
