Dubbed “The Dime,” 277 South Fifth Street will be a new 264-foot tall residential tower in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The reinforced concrete building is close to topping off behind the Dime Savings Bank landmark. The project sits on a 50,000 square foot site, almost an acre in size, and will span just over 350,000 square feet.
Permits have been filed for a four-story mixed-use building at 689 Franklin Avenue in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. Located on the corner of Franklin Avenue and Prospect Place, the vacant lot is one block north of the Park Place subway station, serviced by the S train. It is also seven blocks south of the Franklin Avenue subway station, serviced by the C and S trains. David Manesh of Two Lot LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.
Composed of three contemporary towers on the southern side of the Williamsburg Bridge, 420 Kent Avenue is nearing completion of both exterior and interior work. Designed by ODA Architecture, the upcoming triplet of staggered glass boxes are some of the first new buildings to be constructed as part of the residential building boom that has spread across the Williamsburg waterfront. YIMBY has word that Tishman Speyer has finalized lease agreements for all 1.2 million square feet of its recently completed office development known as “The JACX,” in Long Island City. While the property has not officially debuted, the building’s list of tenants includes Macy’s, Inc., New York-Presbyterian, Bloomingdale’s, WeWork, and a primary care practice operated by Weill Cornell Medicine.
