27 Park Place’s Renovation Nears Completion in Tribeca, Manhattan

Renovation work is nearing completion on 27 Park Place, a five-story commercial building in Tribeca. Designed by Michael Schmitt Architect PC, the project involves a full interior and exterior refurbishment following a six-alarm fire that heavily damaged the structure in 2017. Empire State Development is the general contractor for the property, which is bound by Murray Street to the north, Park Place to the south, and Church Street to the west.

Developer Secures $50 Million to Complete The Crosby Office Building at 40 Crosby Street in Soho, Manhattan

KPG Funds has secured a $50 million construction loan to complete The Crosby, a new boutique office building in Soho. Located at 40 Crosby Street, the five-story building will comprise 52,000 square feet of office space and an 18,000-square-foot retail space on the ground floor.

Developers Reveal First Renderings of Affordable Housing Property 277 Canal Street in SoHo

United American Land has revealed the first renderings of 277 Canal Street, its forthcoming affordable housing project designed by Morris Adjmi Architects in Soho, Manhattan. The building is on track to be the first completed project following passage of a controversial neighborhood rezoning of 55 city blocks.

Renovation Work Progresses at 105 Washington Street in Financial District, Manhattan

Renovation work is progressing on 105 Washington Street, a six-story former residential building in Manhattan’s Financial District that is being converted to a homeless shelter under the city’s Safe Haven program. Designed by EQ Architecture & Design and developed by The Center for Urban Community Services (CUCS), the 97-year-old structure spans 22,088 square feet and will yield 84 housing units. Penta Restoration Corp. is the general contractor for the property, which is located between Carlisle and Rector Streets.

Warren Street Hotel’s Exterior Nears Completion at 86 Warren Street in Tribeca, Manhattan

Exterior work is nearing completion on the Warren Street Hotel, an 11-story building at 86 Warren Street in Tribeca. Designed by Paul Taylor with Stonehill Taylor and developed by Firmdale on a land lease from Solil Management, the 135-foot-tall structure will span 44,000 square feet and yield 69 guest rooms operated by Firmdale Hotels, as well as the 150-seat Warren Bar and Restaurant, a drawing room, an orangery, and a private event space. Pavarini McGovern is the general contractor and Kit Kemp is the interior designer for the project, which rises from the site of a former parking lot between Greenwich Street and West Broadway.

Excavation and pilings are getting underway at 111 Washington Street, the site of a 64-story residential skyscraper in Manhattan’s Financial District. Developed by Carlisle New York Apartments, the 712-foot-tall structure will yield 326,221 square feet with 462 residential units, 7,000 square feet of commercial space, and a 60-foot-long rear yard. Consigli Construction is the general contractor for the property, which is alternately addressed as 8 Carlisle Street and located at the corner of Washington and Carlisle Streets.

New Permits Filed for 183 Chrystie Street on the Lower East Side of Manhattan

New construction permits have been filed for a 17-story mixed-use building at 183 Chrystie Street on the Lower East Side of Manhattan. Located between Delancey Street and Rivington Street, the lot is near the Bowery Street subway station, serviced by the J and Z trains and the Grand Street station, serviced by the B and D trains. David Paz of Omnia Group under the AEH-VSLV, LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications, and previously filed for a nine-story mixed-use with 26 residences.

Developers Reveal New Interior Renderings of The Keller at 150 Barrow Street in West Village, Manhattan

Aurora Capital Associates and William Gottlieb Real Estate have shared new interior renderings for The Keller, a seven-story residential building at 150 Barrow Street in Manhattan’s West Village. Designed by BKSK Architects, the building contains 24 condominiums and a suite of amenity spaces. Compass Development Marketing Group and the Hudson Advisory Team are the exclusive sales and marketing team for The Keller.

Retailer Century 21 Reopens at 22 Cortlandt Street in Financial District, Manhattan

Century 21 has reopened in its Financial District flagship in Manhattan after nearly three years of closure. Located at 22 Cortlandt Street, the bargain fashion retailer first opened in the 1960s as a family operation run by Al and Sonny Gindi. The size of the store, once ranked among the largest retail locations in Manhattan, has been reduced from its original six-story footprint to four floors at the primary 22 Cortlandt Street building.

Derelict Townhomes Ready for Repair Work at 18-20 Christopher Street in Greenwich Village, Manhattan

Repair work is set to begin on 18-20 Christopher Street, a pair of derelict two-story homes in Greenwich Village, Manhattan. Owned by Nazarian Property Group, the structures have been issued an order to vacate from the Department of Buildings and currently stand in a state of significant disrepair. The townhomes at 18-20 Christopher Street were constructed in 1827 and are located between Gay Street to the east and Waverly Place to the west.
