Construction has topped out for the ten-story condominium building at 80 East 10th Street, aka Eighty East Tenth Street. The project is between the borders of the East Village and Greenwich Village, and is four blocks away from Union Square Park, giving it a unique location. Parametric Development Group is responsible for the development.
Permits have been filed for a seven-story mixed-use building at 119 Second Avenue, in the East Village. The development will rise on the site of a tragic explosion from 2015, which claimed two fatalities. After the event, three buildings were demolished and cleared. The new project will fill one of the three addresses. Nexus Development is heading the project, partnering with Immobiliare Capital and Premier Equities. According to the Real Deal, Nexus purchased 119 and 121 Second Avenue in 2017 for $9.15 million. 123 Second Avenue was sold to Ezra Wibowo in 2016.
New renderings have been revealed for 208 Delancey Street, a 12-story residential tower coming to the Lower East Side. Back in July of 2015, YIMBY reported that construction had stalled out, and the owner at the time put the project on the market for $35.5 million. New Empire Real Estate is now going to be responsible for the development, and the change in management brought along a completely revamped design, by ODA Architecture, with Shiming Tam serving as architect of record.
New renderings are out for 540 Hudson Street, a seven-story mixed-use building proposed in Greenwich Village. The site is two blocks away from the Christopher Street Station, serviced by the PATH Train, and the Christopher Street Subway Station, serviced by the 1 and 2 trains. The project would fill a vacant lot in the heart of the village. Morris Adjmi Architects will be responsible for the undulating design.
Images are out now for the redesigned penthouse in 100 Barclay Street, an Art Deco skyscraper adjacent to One World Trade Center on the southern edge of Tribeca. The 32-story building, originally known as the Barclay-Vesey Building, opened in 1927, designed by architect Ralph Walker. During the September 11th attack, the building suffered heavy damage on its southern and eastern facades. Tishman Realty & Construction led its repairs, with William F. Collins responsible for the restoration. The project was finished in three years at a cost of $1.4 billion, whereby all ornamental details and carving motifs were fixed. Since then, the upper floors have been converted to condominiums.
