Gotham Point’s 57-Story ‘Parcel F’ Tops Out in Hunters Point South, Queens

Construction has topped out on Parcel F, a 57-story 559-foot tall skyscraper in the Gotham Point development in Hunters Point SouthQueens. Designed by Handel Architects and developed by Gotham Organization, RiseBoro Community Partnership, Goldman Sachs Urban Investment Group, and the Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD), the reinforced concrete structure will yield 689 units alongside a 1,100-seat Intermediate High School built by the School Construction Authority, and Parcel G, its 33-story, 336-foot tall, 443-unit sibling. Gotham Point is located at the confluence of the East River and Newtown Creek, bound by Center Boulevard to the north, 56th Avenue to the east, and 57th Avenue to the west. Handel Architects is also the interior designer while BHDM did the interior for the model apartment only.

Two Bridges Associates Files Permits for 71-Story Skyscraper at 265 South Street on the Lower East Side

Permits have been filed for a 71-story mixed-use skyscraper with affordable Housing at 265 South Street in Manhattan’s Lower East Side. Located adjacent to Rutgers Park between Jefferson Street and Frank T. Modica Way, the lot was previously addressed as 260 South Street. Four blocks north of the site is the East Broadway subway station, serviced by the F train. Two Bridges Associates L.P., a partnership between L+M Development Partners and the CIM Group, is listed as the owner behind the applications.

Construction has topped out on the Moxy Lower East Side at 145 Bowery, an 18-story hotel building on Manhattan’s Lower East Side. Designed by Stonehill & Taylor Architects and developed by The Lightstone Group, the 193-foot-tall structure will yield 127,000 square feet with 303 guest rooms, averaging 200 square feet apiece. Leeding builders Group, LLC is the general contractor for the project, which is located at the corner of Broome Street and Bowery.

The affordable housing lottery has launched for 111 Varick Street, a 30-story residential building in Hudson Square, Manhattan. Designed by S9 Architecture with interiors by Chris Shao Studio and developed by Extended, the structure yields 100 residences in a mix of studio, one-, and two-bedroom layouts. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 30 units for residents at 70 to 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $48,343 to $167,570.
