Permits Filed For 30-Story Hotel at 112 Liberty Street, in The Financial District

Permits have been filed for a new 30-story hotel at 112 Liberty Street, in the Financial District. The site sits directly across from 150 Greenwich Street and the World Trade Center complex by the intersection of Church Street and Liberty Street. It will be designed by Stonehill & Taylor Architects and yield around 92,300 square feet of newly built space. Demolition of the current low-rise buildings will have to begin before excavation and construction on the new skyscraper can begin. The new skyscraper is proposed to be 327 feet tall and will be the tallest building on that parcel of land.

LPC Reviews New Proposal to Expand a Private Residence at 267 West 11th Street in Greenwich Village, Manhattan

Suk Design Group will again appear before the city’s Landmarks Preservation Commission to present revised proposals to renovate and expand the rear portion of a private residence in the Greenwich Village Historic District. Located at 267 West 11th Street, the unique property includes a four-story structure with an additional single-story, enclosed structure in the rear courtyard that dates back to the 1930’s.

Above the Financial District, 125 Greenwich Street rises as a slender 88-story residential skyscraper. Designed by Rafael Vinoly and developed by Bizzi & Partners and Vector Group, the 912-foot tall glass and concrete structure has topped out. The 273 residential units are being marketed by Douglas Elliman, while the interiors are being designed by March & White. YIMBY recently got to go on a tour of the upcoming construction, capturing views from the very top.

11 Green Street Prepares For Curtain Wall Installation, in SoHo

Upcoming residential project 11 Greene Street is located in SoHo, at the corner of Greene Street and Canal Street. The building is being designed by Gwathmey Siegel Kaufman & Associates Architects and developed by Arch Companies. They took over the deal from Thor Equities and also secured a $45 million construction loan nearly one year ago. The development will eventually stand seven stories tall.
