Google’s Office at 550 Washington Street Nears Topping Out in Hudson Square

Construction is nearing topping out at 550 Washington Street, Google’s 1.3 million-square-foot office in Hudson Square. Designed by COOKFOX Architects and developed by Oxford Properties, the facility will join two other nearby structures at 315 Hudson Street and 345 Hudson Street to form a 1.7 million-square-foot hub dubbed the “Googleplex.” The site is bound by West Street, West Houston Street, Washington Street, and the New York Department of Sanitation offices.

Work Progresses on Mega Mansion at 145 Perry Street in the West Village

Construction has topped out at 145 Perry Street, a four-story, 30,000-square-foot mega mansion in the West Village. Alternately addressed as 703-711 Washington Street, the project is designed by Leroy Street Studio with Robert Silman Associates Structural Engineers and includes an abutting six-story, five-unit apartment building to the north along Greenwich Street.

Bjarke Ingels Group Reveals Rooftop Expansion and Renovation Project at 130 Prince Street in SoHo

The Landmarks Preservation Commission (LPC) will soon consider proposals from Bjarke Ingels Group to construct a large rooftop pavilion and terrace at 130 Prince Street in Soho. Located at the corner of Prince and Wooster Streets, the mixed-use commercial property will support a mix of retail and office space.

90 Morton Street Opens for Occupancy in the West Village

Construction has reached full completion at 90 Morton Street, a 12-story condominium building in the West Village. Designed by Asaf Gottesman of Gottesman-Szmelcman Architecture and developed by Brack Capital Real Estate, the 150-foot-tall project involved a rooftop addition on an eight-story industrial building that once housed a printing warehouse. The structure yields 122,000 square feet with interior design by Marc Turkel of Leroy Street Studio. Reuveni Real Estate is leading sales and marketing of the 35 units, which hit the market in April 2018 with prices starting at $5.3 million.

Howard Hughes Corporation Announces Plans for Two-Tower Development at 250 Water Street in South Street Seaport

New renderings and details of 250 Water Street were revealed yesterday, depicting a mixed-use development significantly smaller in size and scope than the supertall previously speculated. Developed by the Howard Hughes Corporation and designed by Skidmore Owings & Merrill, the two-tower high rise is a bit underwhelming in contrast to the 1,000-foot-tall design that would have become the tallest structure in lower Manhattan.

60 Charlton Street’s Glass Addition Nears Completion in Hudson Square

Exterior work is nearing completion on the six-story addition atop 60 Charlton Street, an office building in Hudson Square. Alternately addressed as 163 Varick Street, the project is designed by HOK and co-developed by APF Properties, Kenneth Aschendorf, and Berndt Perl, with Stuart Milstein of Drake Street Properties, and brings the structure’s total height to 12 stories and 191 feet tall.

Curtain wall installation is progressing quickly on Zero Irving, a 21-story mixed-use building at 124 East 14th Street in Union Square. Designed by Davis Brody Bond and developed by RAL Development, the structure will yield 240,000 square feet of affordable and market-rate office space for technology firms and amenities for occupants. Financial partners Junius Real Estate Partners and Suffolk Construction are also helping to develop the property.

Curtain Wall Installation Progresses at 799 Broadway in Greenwich Village

Façade installation is making progress at 799 Broadway, a 12-story office building in Greenwich Village. Designed by Perkins + Will and developed by Columbia Property Trust, the 182-foot-tall project will yield 180,000 square feet of commercial space marketed by JLL. The corner lot is located at the intersection of Broadway and East 11th Street, and was purchased by Normandy Real Estate Partners and Ares Management in 2016 for $101 million. Early work required the demolition of several low-rise structures before excavation and construction of the new edifice could begin.

NYU’s Partially Topped-Out Expansion at 181 Mercer Street Progresses in Greenwich Village

Curtain wall installation is progressing at 181 Mercer Street, NYU‘s 23-story, 750,000-square-foot complex in Greenwich Village. Designed by Davis Brody Bond and KieranTimberlake, the mixed-use project sits along Houston Street between Mercer and Bleecker Streets, directly to the east of I. M. Pei’s three-tower University Village complex.

Extell Reveals New York City’s Largest Private Outdoor Garden at One Manhattan Square in Two Bridges

In an effort to bolster sales at One Manhattan Square, Extell Development Company has unveiled an acre of private outdoor amenities designed by West 8 Urban Design and Landscape Architecture. Located in the Two Bridges section of Manhattan’s Lower East Side, the neighborhood’s signature tower stands 800 feet above the East River and now comprises 100,000 square feet of total amenity space.
