Foundations Underway for 64-Story Skyscraper at 111 Washington Street in Financial District, Manhattan

Foundation work is underway at 111 Washington Street, the site of a 64-story residential skyscraper in Manhattan’s Financial District. Designed by Handel Architects and developed by Carlisle New York Apartments and Grubb Properties, which closed on a $48 million loan for the project last summer, the 712-foot-tall structure will span 326,221 square feet and yield 462 residential units, 7,000 square feet of commercial space, and a 60-foot-long rear yard. Consigli Construction is the general contractor for the property, which is alternately addressed as 8 Carlisle Street and located at the corner of Washington and Carlisle Streets, south of the nearby World Trade Center complex.

Façade installation is wrapping up on 125 Barclay Street, an 11-story commercial building in Tribeca, Manhattan. Designed by Switzer Group and developed by District Council 37 (DC37), the project involves the renovation and re-cladding of the 92-year-old former World Telegram Building and the construction of an additional floor above its parapet, and will yield 264,700 square feet of office space. Lilker Associates is the MEP and FP engineer and Hunter Roberts Construction Group is the general contractor for the property, which is bound by Murray Street to the north, Barclay Street to the south, and West Street to the west.

Exterior work is moving along on 1 Park Row, a 23-story mixed-use building in Lower Manhattan’s Financial District. Designed by Fogarty Finger Architects and developed by Circle F Capital, which received a $90 million construction loan from Parkview Financial in 2021, the 305-foot-tall structure will span 103,000 square feet and yield 58 condominium units in one- to three-bedroom layouts with interior design by Paris Forino, along with 19,000 square feet of office and retail space on the lower levels. Cauldwell Wingate is the general contractor and 1 Park Row Development LLC is the owner of the property, which is located at the intersection of Park Row and Ann Street, directly across from the southern tip of City Hall Park.
