111 Leroy Street’s Façade Revealed As Work Nears Completion in The West Village

The sun is shining brightly on the brand new façade of 111 Leroy Street. Major progress has been made since YIMBY last looked, as the townhouse and condo complex finally have their skin. The project is bringing nine condos and five modern townhouses to the area. This will further expand the West Village’s classic low-rise and high-end housing closer to the water. Workshop/APD Architect is responsible for the design.

25 Park Row’s Final Floors Rising Above The Financial District As Work Nears 665-Foot Parapet

Once the site of the electronic and music store J&R, 25 Park Row has risen tremendously quick above City Hall Park and the Lower Manhattan skyline in the past year alone. Excavation and foundation work only began in 2017, but the halfway mark for construction was reached in early August. Since then, a new rendering of the 49-story and 665-foot residential skyscraper has been revealed, and work has progressed to the final upper floors directly below the extruded crown that tops the building.

Façade Installation Starts for David Adjaye’s 66-Story 130 William Street in The Financial District

130 William Street is one of the most highly anticipated buildings currently rising in Lower Manhattan, and after sales launched earlier this summer, another milestone is at hand. The hand cast and oversized concrete arches that will make up the façade, which are purposefully evocative of the city’s historic fabric from the 19th and early 20th centuries, are now quickly rising along the exterior. Adjaye Associates is responsible for the design.

Permits Filed for Morris Adjmi-Designed 3 Saint Mark’s Place, East Village, Manhattan

One Manhattan Papaya King is no more, with demolition permits filed for the former single-story structure at 3 Saint Mark’s Place in the East Village in mid-March. Now, permits have been submitted for a five-story retail and office building in its stead. Saint Mark’s has a vibrant and thriving cultural legacy, featuring a diversity of retail and restaurants. This permit will bring a bit of modernization to the Third Avenue gate to the street. Real Estate Equities Corporation is responsible for the development.
