Aloft Hotel’s Façade Nears Completion at 50 Trinity Place in Financial District, Manhattan

Exterior work is nearing completion on 50 Trinity Place, a 28-story Aloft Hotel in the Financial District. Designed by Peter Poon Architects and developed by FIT Investment Corporation, the 77,310-square-foot tower will yield 173 guest rooms. Cauldwell Wingate is serving as the general contractor for the project, which is located at the corner of Trinity Place and Rector Street, diagonally across from Trinity Church.

Disney Headquarters’ Terracotta Façade Progresses at Four Hudson Square in Hudson Square, Manhattan

Exterior work is continuing on The Walt Disney Company’s new 22-story headquarters at Four Hudson Square in Hudson Square, Manhattan. Designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill and developed by Silverstein Properties, the 338-foot-tall structure will yield 1.2 million square feet of office space, film and production studios, and ground-floor retail. Lendlease is the general contractor for the property, which is alternatively addressed as 137 Varick Street and occupies a full-block parcel bound by Vandam Street to the north, Spring Street to the south, Varick Street to the east, and Hudson Street to the west.

456 Greenwich Street Completes Construction in Tribeca, Manhattan

Construction is complete on 456 Greenwich Street, an eight-story hotel building in Tribeca. Designed by Stephen B. Jacobs Group and developed by Caspi Development, the 94,000-square-foot structure yields 96 Art Deco-inspired guest rooms with interiors by Martin Brudnizki Design Studio. Groupe Lucien Barrière of the Hôtel Barrière Le Fouquet’s Paris is the operator of the property, which is bound by Greenwich Street to the east, Desbrosses Street to the south, and Washington Street to the west.

One Wall Street’s New Retail Spaces Near Completion in Financial District, Manhattan

Work is nearing completion on One Wall Street, a 564-foot-tall Art Deco skyscraper in the Financial District. Designed by SLCE Architects and developed by Macklowe Properties, the $1.5 billion venture is the largest office-to-residential conversion in New York City history and will yield 566 condominiums as well as a 44,000-square-foot Whole Foods Market and a four-floor, 75,000-square-foot Life Time fitness center on the lower levels. The project also involved the construction of a multi-story expansion above the mid-century annex to the 91-year-old structure. Compass Development Marketing Group is handling sales and marketing with a gallery located within the famous Red Room. JT Magen is the general contractor for the property, which is bound by Broadway to the west, Wall Street to the north, Exchange Place to the south, and New Street to the east.
