Located at the intersection of Second Avenue and East 125th Street, the lot is near the 125th Street subway station, served by the 4, 5, and 6 trains. Kristin Miller of East Harlem MEC Parcel C LP is listed as the owner behind the applications.
Foundation work has begun at 625 Madison Avenue, the site of a 34-story commercial skyscraper in the Plaza District of Midtown, Manhattan. Designed by Foster + Partners and Gensler and developed in a partnership between Related Companies and Andrew Mathias, the 684-foot-tall structure will yield 858,500 square feet of carbon-neutral office space. Both of these figures are a substantial departure from previous plans, which called for a 1,264-foot residential supertall. The property is located between East 58th and 59th Streets, between the Plaza District office core and Billionaires’ Row residential corridor.
Demolition is progressing at 419-421 Broadway, the site of a one-story retail building in Soho, Manhattan. Designed by Morris Adjmi Architects and developed by United American Land, the project will also involve the full renovation of the adjacent building at 423 Broadway. The properties are located at the northwest corner of Broadway and Canal Street, just above the border with Tribeca.
Construction stands topped out at 35 West 14th Street, a 12-story mixed-use residential building in on the border of Chelsea and Greenwich Village, Manhattan. Designed by Studio C Architects and developed by Nexus Development, the 125-foot-tall structure will yield 48 condominium units along with ground-floor retail space. The project site consists of an interior lot between Fifth and Sixth Avenues.
