Construction is now underway at 97 Glenmore Avenue, the site of a forthcoming affordable housing development in Brownsville, Brooklyn. The building will debut as Glenmore Manor led by private real estate company Brisa Builders Development, non-profit community developer African American Planning Commission Inc., and affordable housing owner-developer Lemle & Wolff Companies.
Excavation is progressing at 182-186 Spring Street, the site of a seven-story residential building in Soho, Manhattan. Designed by Selldorf Architects and developed by Spring Street Owner LLC, the structure will span 25,000 square feet with nine condominium units, 2,700 square feet of commercial space for up to three tenants, and 1,400 square feet for community facilities. CM & Associates is the general contractor for the property, which is alternately addressed as 83 Thompson Street and located in the Sullivan-Thompson Historic District at the corner of Spring and Thompson Streets.
Renovation and expansion work is continuing on 44-54 Ninth Avenue, an eight-story office and retail building at the confluence of Chelsea, the Meatpacking District, and the West Village. Designed by BKSK Architects for Tavros Capital, the project involves the restoration of a row of a landmarked townhomes and the construction of a new office structure above. Broadway Construction is the general contractor for the property, which is alternately addressed as 351-355 West 14th Street and located at the intersection of West 14th Street and Ninth Avenue.
Construction is now complete at 122 Fifth Avenue, where Bromley Companies has invested more than $100 million to renovate the 11-story office building. Led by STUDIOS Architecture, the building now offers 300,000 square feet of modern office space, a rooftop terrace and pavilion, and a collection of amenity spaces.
Construction is climbing higher on JPMorgan Chase‘s 1,388-foot supertall headquarters at 270 Park Avenue in Midtown East. Designed by Lord Norman Foster of Foster + Partners with Adamsom Associates as the architect of record and developed by Tishman Speyer, the 60-story skyscraper will yield 2.5 million square feet of office space with a capacity of 15,000 employees, and will become the tallest structure in New York completely powered by hydroelectric energy. JB&B is the MEP engineer and AECOM Tishman is the general contractor for the full-block property, which is bound by East 48th Street to the north, East 47th Street to the south, Park Avenue to the east, and Madison Avenue to the west.
