One Vanderbilt Begins Gaining Prominence On The Midtown East Skyline

Right across from the iconic Grand Central terminal in Midtown, construction is moving along for the commercial supertall One Vanderbilt. Our last update in March showed that the building had reached two floors above the distinctive retail podium. We can report that the structure has more than doubled in height over the past three months, now standing 17 floors above street level. The building will eventually top off 1,401 feet above street level, and SL Green is developing.

Residential Skyscraper at 280 Cadman Plaza West Begins Rising Into the Brooklyn Heights Skyline

Development is underway for a new high-rise in Brooklyn Heights. It has been less than a year since the old Brooklyn Heights branch of the Brooklyn Public Library (BPL) was demolished, at 280 Cadman Plaza West. Work has progressed swiftly since, and thanks to images from Tectonic, we can confirm the new skyscraper has reached its second floor, with foundation work now apparently complete.

The site is three blocks away from the 110th Street subway station on Lexington Avenue, serviced by 6 trains, and four blocks away from the 110th Street subway station on Central Park North, serviced by the 2 and 3 trains. Manhattan-based Rose Companies is responsible for the development.
