Coworking venture The Malin has debuted two new outposts in New York: a Brooklyn location within The William Vale at 109 North 12th Street in Williamsburg and a Manhattan office on the ground floor of the landmarked American Railway Supply Building at 134 Charles Street in the West Village.
Construction continues to rise on 270 Park Avenue, JPMorgan Chase‘s 70-story supertall headquarters in Midtown East. Designed by Norman Foster of Foster + Partners and developed by Tishman Speyer, the 1,388-foot-tall skyscraper will yield 2.5 million square feet of office space and set the record for the tallest building in New York to be powered by hydroelectric energy. Banker Steel is in charge of steel fabrication and NYC Constructors is the general contractor for the property, which spans a full block bound by East 48th Street to the north, East 47th Street to the south, Park Avenue to the east, and Madison Avenue to the west.It is expected to have a capacity to hold 15,000 employees.
Brick façade installation is progressing on 555 Greenwich, a 16-story commercial building in Hudson Square, Manhattan. Designed by COOKFOX Architects and developed by Hudson Square Properties, a joint venture from Trinity Church Wall Street, Hines, and Norges Bank Investment Management, the new 270,000-square-foot structure will connect to the adjacent 345 Hudson Street via a horizontal overbuild to yield a combined 715,000 square feet of office space. Tishman Construction is the general contractor for the property, which is bound by King Street to the north, Charlton Street to the south, and Greenwich Street to the west.
Renderings have been revealed for 1807 66th Street, a seven-story mixed-use building in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn. Designed by Angelo Ng & Anthony Ng Architects Studio and developed by FSA Capital, the 30,400-square-foot structure will yield 20 rental apartments spread across 15,500 square feet, a 20-vehicle parking garage, and two small community facilities. The property is located at the corner of 18th Avenue and 66th Street.
Permits have been filed for a 49-story commercial skyscraper at 343 Madison Avenue in Midtown East, Manhattan. Located between East 44th and 45th Streets, the 25,000-square-foot rectangular site is one block from the Grand Central-42nd Street subway station, serviced by the 4, 5, 6, 7, and S trains and MetroNorth rails. Boston Properties is listed as the owner behind the applications.
