Construction is nearing the finish line on 88 East 127th Street, a 19-story residential building in East Harlem, Manhattan. Designed by GF55 Architects and developed and built by Artimus Construction, the 214-foot-tall structure will span 174,951 square feet and yield 160 rental units, with 40 reserved for affordable housing, as well as 15,657 square feet of commercial space. The project stands on a formerly vacant plot bound by Park Avenue, and East 126th and East 127th Streets.

Developer Secures $233M to Complete 54 Crown Street in Crown Heights, Brooklyn

Carmel Partners landed a $233 million loan to complete a 17-story rental building at 54 Crown Street in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. Designed by Hill West Architects, the structure will contain 569 apartments, 182 enclosed parking spaces, around 7,500 square feet of ground-floor retail space, and a 1,500-square-foot community facility.

107 North 1st Street Nears Completion in Williamsburg, Brooklyn

Construction is nearing completion on 107 North 1st Street, a five-story commercial building in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Designed by Melamed Architects and developed by 107 North First Street Realty, LLC, the structure will yield 18,000 square feet of office space above ground-floor retail frontage. Vintage Home, Inc. is the general contractor for the property, which sits on an interior lot between Berry Street and Wythe Avenue.

Construction At PENN2 Continues At Two Penn Plaza in Midtown, Manhattan

Construction and expansion work continues at PENN 2, a 31-story commercial building at Two Penn Plaza in Midtown, Manhattan. Designed by MdeAS Architects and developed by Vornado Realty Trust, the topped-out project involves the replacement of the 412-foot-tall tower’s outdated midcentury façade with a new glass curtain wall and set of light-colored metal paneling, a full gut renovation of its 1.61 million square feet of office space, new pocketed corner terraces, and a multi-story cantilevering volume along Seventh Avenue. GMSLLP is the façade consultant and Turner Construction Company and Skanska are the contractors for the property, which is located between West 31st and West 33rd Streets within the Penn District revitalization master plan.

L&L Holding Company Unveil Large-Scale Artworks at 425 Park Avenue in Midtown, Manhattan

L&L Holding Company has unveiled a pair of prominent artworks at Norman Foster‘s 425 Park Avenue office skyscraper in Midtown East. The artworks now occupy the building’s jewel box triple-height lobby and show on a digital display on the three ornamental fins that crown the structure.

Wells Fargo Hits $780M Financing Milestone for New York City Affordable Housing Projects

The Community Lending and Investment division of Wells Fargo has reached a new milestone, $780.3 million in construction financing for affordable housing projects in New York City and Westchester County. The figure represents five loans, all closed in June 2023, the company’s largest-ever half-cycle allocation.

Ray Harlem Rises At 2033 Fifth Avenue in East Harlem, Manhattan

Construction is in full swing for Ray Harlem at 2033 Fifth Avenue in the Special Arts District in East Harlem, Manhattan. Designed by Handel Architects and Frida Escobedo, and developed by Ray and LMXD, the ground-up 21-story, 240-foot-tall mixed-use project will yield 222 rental units in the main tower ranging from studios to two-bedrooms, a portion of which are designated towards affordable housing, while the National Black Theatre (NBT) is expected to occupy 25,000 square feet of space on the ground floor, cellar level and floors three through five and feature a 250-seat flexible temple space and a 99-seat studio theater, classrooms, and offices. Little Wing Lee is the interior designer, Charcoalblue, Marvel Architects, and Studio & Projects are overseeing the theater aspect and Chatsworth Builders is listed at the general contractor for the property, which is located along Fifth Avenue between East 125th and East 126th Streets.

Excavation is underway at 729 Second Avenue, the site of a 20-story residential building in Murray Hill, Manhattan. Designed by CetraRuddy and developed by Brause Realty, the 237-foot-tall structure will yield 120,000 square feet with 157 units and 4,600 square feet of ground-floor retail space. Titan Industrial SVC Corp and Alba Services Inc. are the demolition contractors for the property, which is located between East 38th and East 39th Streets.

Dynamic Star has revealed the first renderings and detailed plans for One Fordham Landing, a mixed-use, high-rise development at 320 West Fordham Road in The Bronx. Designed by Perkins Eastman, the property is taking shape in the University Heights neighborhood, just south of West Fordham Road along the Harlem River waterfront.

228 Berry Street Nears Completion in Williamsburg, Brooklyn

Construction is almost finished at 228 Berry Street, in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Designed by Fischer Rasmussen Whitefield Architect and developed by Berry North LLC, the topped out eight-story, 85-foot-tall structure will yield a total of 35,329 square feet with 50 rental units spread across 34,825 square feet and an additional 504 square feet of ground-floor retail space. There will also be a cellar level containing 25 enclosed parking spaces, and 25 open-air parking spaces. Bluesky Builders is the general contractor for the property, which is bound by North 1st Street to the north, and Grand Street to the south, and Berry Street to the east.
