The Landmarks Preservation Commission is now considering proposals to renovate the façade of a 19th century townhouse in the Central Park West Historic District of the Upper West Side. The property is located at 55 West 86th Street between Central Park West and Columbus Avenue, and was originally constructed in 1889.
Permits have been filed for a 15-story mixed-use building at 5119 Beach Channel Drive in Far Rockaway, Queens. Located at the intersection of Beach 53rd Street and Beach Channel Drive, the interior lot is closest to the Beach 60th Street subway station, serviced by the A train. The Arker Companies under the Peninsula Rockaway LP is listed as the owner behind the applications.
Construction appears substantially complete on Trinity Commons, a 26-story mixed-use tower planned to open next year at 74 Trinity Place in the Financial District. Alternately addressed as 107 Greenwich Street, the 424-foot-tall building is designed by Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects and developed by Trinity Real Estate, with Stephen B. Jacobs Group as the executive architect.
New renderings have been unveiled for The West, a new residential development at 547 West 47th Street in Hell’s Kitchen. Designed by Concrete and developed by CB Developers, SK Development and Ironstate Development, the block-long development will rise 12 stories and yield 219 units, ranging from studios to three-bedrooms, all above a 40,000-square-foot ground-floor car dealership. Nightingale Properties and Wafra Capital Partners recently launched a campaign to draw in $860 million in construction financing to redevelop an existing office building in Manhattan’s Financial District. Located at 111 Wall Street, it is estimated that redevelopment costs will max out at $1 billion.
